Para isso, apresenta um estudo de campo baseado no desenvolvimento e nos resultados de uma ação de extensão realizada em uma instituição que atende prioritariamente crianças em situação de vulnerabilidade socioeconômica, onde foram implementadas atividades dirigidas durante o período de recreio. As etapas metodológicas do estudo de campo incluíram práticas participativas com o corpo docente da instituição para concepção das ações; observação participante de tais ações; redação de diários de pesquisa; e uma análise de conteúdo desses materiais. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar como se dá a indissociabilidade entre extensão, ensino e pesquisa partindo dos resultados da ação extensionista por meio de referenciais dos estudos em Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade e freirianos. Esta análise aponta para a importância de ações que integrem ensino, pesquisa e extensão na academia; e do diálogo e comprometimento entre a equipe propositora da ação extensionista, a equipe pedagógica da instituição e demais pessoas envolvidas. A partir disso, foram discutidos temas como o diálogo com a comunidade, a identificação de suas demandas durante a prática extensionista, e a integração dos princípios e valores trabalhados pela instituição durante as atividades didáticas também no horário de recreio de maneira lúdica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This paper discusses the indissociability between extension, teaching, and research, understanding university extension as a two-way street characterized by knowledge exchange between the academy and society. We present a field study based on the development and results of an extension activity conducted at an institution that primarily cares for children from socioeconomically vulnerable backgrounds, during which we implemented directed activities for the daily recess period. The methodological steps of this field study include participatory practices with the institution&#8217;s educators in order to conceptualize the activities, participant observation on these activities, research diaries, and content analysis of this material. The objective of this study is to analyse the indisociability between extension, teaching, and research through the results of the extension activity and a theoretical framework in Science, Technology, and Society studies, and the works of Paulo Freire. This analysis points to the importance of actions that integrate teaching, research, and extension in the Univeristy, and of dialogue and commitment between the team proposing the extension activity, the institution's pedagogical team, and other people involved. Furthermore, we discuss themes such as dialoguing with the community, identifying their demands during the practice of the extension activity, and finding out how principles and values worked on by the institution with the children during didactic activities can also be applied to ludic activities during recess time.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo discute la indisociabilidad entre extensión, enseñanza e investigación, entendiendo la extensión universitaria como una vía de doble sentido caracterizada por el intercambio de conocimientos entre la academia y la comunidad. Para ello, se presenta un estudio de campo basado en el desarrollo y los resultados de una acción de extensión realizada en una institución que atiende prioritariamente a niños en situación de vulnerabilidad donde se implementaron actividades dirigidas durante el período de recreo. Las etapas metodológicas del estudio de campo incluyeron prácticas participativas con el cuerpo docente de la institución para la concepción de las acciones; la observación participante de tales acciones; la redacción de diarios de investigación; y un análisis de contenido de estos materiales. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar cómo se da la indisociabilidad entre extensión, enseñanza e investigación a partir de los resultados de la acción extensionista por medio de referenciales de estudios en Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad y freireanos. Este análisis apunta a la importancia de acciones que integren enseñanza, investigación y extensión en el ámbito académico; y del diálogo y compromiso entre el equipo propositivo de la acción extensionista, el equipo pedagógico de la institución y las demás personas involucradas. A partir de ahí, se discutieron temas como el diálogo con la comunidad, la identificación de sus demandas durante la práctica extensionista y la integración de los principios y valores trabajados por la institución durante las actividades didácticas también en el horario de recreo de manera lúdica.]]></p></abstract>
