Em que pese haver passado mais de duas décadas desde o falecimento daquele autor (educador, antropólogo e, acima de tudo, brasileiro), seus escritos seguem mais atuais e necessários que nunca, a fim de se compreender o papel crítico a ser desempenhado por uma educação de qualidade, voltada para a formação da cidadania.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This review tries to present to the reader some of the anxieties behind the thought of Darcy Ribeiro, from the texts organized in the book of Lúcia Velloso. Although more than two decades have passed since the death of the author (educator, anthropologist and, above all, Brazilian), his writings are more current and necessary than ever before, in order to understand the critical role to be played by a quality education, focused on the formation of citizenship.]]></p></abstract>

Aun que han transcurrido más de dos décadas desde la muerte del autor (educador, antropólogo y, sobre todo, brasileño), sus escritos son más actuales y necesarios que nunca, para comprender el papel fundamental que debe desempeñar una educación de calidad, centrada en la formación de la ciudadanía.]]></p></abstract>
