No entanto, a coexistência desses fenômenos também é possível. Objetivou-se identificar e caracterizar as produções científicas que abordam a associação entre superdotação e TDAH. Para isso, foram consultadas cinco bases de dados: Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações, Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, Portal de Periódicos do Scientific Eletronic Library Online, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e na base de dados Education Resources Information Center. Foram usados os descritores gifted e adhd, hyperactivity e attention deficit hyperactivity disorder em inglês, e também foram adotados &#8220;altas habilidades&#8221;, &#8220;superdotação&#8221;, &#8220;talento&#8221;, &#8220;dotação&#8221; e &#8220;precocidade&#8221;, juntamente com o descritor &#8220;TDAH&#8221;, &#8220;transtorno de déficit de atenção/hiperatividade&#8221; e &#8220;hiperatividade&#8221;. Assim, foram localizadas 33 produções. A categorização e análise dos trabalhos revelou a existência de diferenças no funcionamiento de estudantes com comportamento superdotado quando em associação ao TDAH, as quais afetam aspectos educacionais, socioemocionais e requerem intervenção específica. Maiores investigações acerca dessa temática são necessárias para evitar erros diagnósticos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Students with gifted behavior may present similar traits to those typical of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), causing misdiagnosis. However, the coexistence of these phenomena is also possible. The study aimed to identify and characterize scientific productions that address the association between giftedness and ADHD. In order to achieve this, five databases were consulted: Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, Coordination of Superior Level Staff Improvement (CAPES) journals website, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) journals website, Latin American and Caribbean Literature (LILACS) and the Education Resources Information Center database. The descriptors gifted and ADHD, hyperactivity and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder were used in English, and &#8220;high skills&#8221;, &#8220;giftedness&#8221;, &#8220;talent&#8221;, &#8220;endowment&#8221; and &#8220;precocity&#8221; were also used along with the descriptors &#8220;ADHD&#8221;, &#8220;Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder&#8221; and &#8220;hyperactivity&#8221;. Thus, 33 productions were located. The categorization and analysis of the works revealed the existence of differences in the functioning of students with gifted behavior when associated with ADHD, which affect educational, socioemotional aspects and require specific intervention. Further investigations on this topic are necessary to avoid diagnostic errors.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Los estudiantes con comportamiento superdotado pueden presentar rasgos similares a los característicos del Trastorno por Déficit de Atención / Hiperactividade (TDAH), lo que causa un diagnóstico erróneo. Sin embargo, la coexistencia de estos fenómenos también es possible. El objetivo era identificar y caracterizar las producciones científicas que abordan la asociación entre los superdotados y el TDAH. Para ello, se consultaron cinco bases de datos: Biblioteca Digital Brasileña de Tesis y Disertaciones, Portal de Revistas de la Coordinación para el Mejoramiento del Personal de Educación Superior, Portal de la Revista de la Biblioteca Electrónica Científica em línea, Literatura en Ciencias de América Latina y el Caribe. Salud y la base de datos del Centro de Información de Recursos Educativos. Los descriptores de superdotado y TDAH, hiperactividad y trastorno por déficit de atención com hiperactividad se utilizaron en inglés, y también se utilizaron &#8220;altas capacidad&#8221;, &#8220;superdotación&#8221;, &#8220;talento&#8221;, &#8220;dotación&#8221; y &#8220;precocidad&#8221;, junto con el descriptor &#8220;TDAH&#8221;, &#8220;Déficit de atención/trastorno de hiperactividad&#8221; e &#8220;hiperactividad&#8221;. Así, se ubicaron 33 producciones. La categorización y el análisis de los trabajos revelaron la existencia de diferencias en el funcionamento de los estudiantes con comportamiento superdotado cuando se asocian con TDAH, que afectan los aspectos educativos, socioemocionales y requieren una intervención específica. Se necesitan más investigaciones sobre este tema para evitar errores de diagnóstico.]]></p></abstract>
