Sendo assim, o objetivo desse texto é discutir e demonstrar a importância da laicidade como forma de enfrentamento a movimentos conservadores no campo educacional, como por exemplo o Escola sem Partido. A proposta de valorizar a laicidade como forma de enfrentamento ao negacionismo científico é uma forma de defender a sociedade de argumentos religiosos extremistas que ferem princípios básicos de direitos humanos, como por exemplo a violência contra as mulheres e a misoginia de um modo geral.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The growth of religious extremism in Brazil and in the world and its relationship with the pandemic exposed the importance of fighting for a secular state. Thus, the aim of this text is to discuss and demonstrate the importance of laicity as a way of coping with conservative movements in the educational field, such as Escola sem Partido. The proposal to value secularism as a way of confronting scientific denialism is a way of defending society from extremist religious arguments that violate basic human rights principles, such as violence against women and misogyny in general.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El crecimiento del extremismo religioso en Brasil y en el mundo y su relación con la pandemia expuso la importancia de luchar por un estado laico. Por tanto, el propósito de este texto es discutir y demostrar la importancia del laicismo como forma de confrontar a los movimientos conservadores en el campo educativo, como la Escola sem Partido. La propuesta de valorar el laicismo como forma de afrontar el negacionismo científico es una forma de defender a la sociedad de argumentos religiosos extremistas que violan principios básicos de derechos humanos, como la violencia contra las mujeres y la misoginia en general.]]></p></abstract>
