A produção do mesmo foi possível pela realização de nove entrevistas semiestruturadas com dirigentes de terreiros, pós aprovação do projeto pelo comitê de ética em pesquisas com seres humanos. Enquanto resultados foi possível observar que as representações das pomba-giras estão aproximadas com as ideias de mulheres que rompem com regramentos sociais que definem seus papeis sociais de sujeitos, enquanto seres domésticos e obedientes. As representações das entidades femininas da Quimbanda exemplificam o contraponto, a resistência e outras formas de ser mulher na sociedade, pois, elas vão de encontro a obediência e silenciamento das vontades. As mães-de-santo, donas dos terreiros cumprem a função de desenvolver noções de liberdade e cultos aos corpos de todos os sujeitos que passam pelas suas mãos e, por sua vez, ensinamentos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The article that follows aims to describe the representations of the pomba-gira, a female figure from Quimbanda, close to the forces of the yabás, mothers-de-santo of terreiros in the southern region of Rio Grande do Sul. The production of the same was possible by carrying out nine semi-structured interviews with directors of terreiros, after approval of the project by the ethics committee in research with human beings. As results, it was possible to observe that the representations of the pomba-giras are close to the ideas of women who break with social rules that define their social roles as subjects, as domestic and obedient beings. The representations of the female entities of Quimbanda exemplify the counterpoint, resistance and other ways of being a woman in society, as they go against obedience and silencing of wills. The mothers-de-santo, owners of the terreiros fulfill the function of developing notions of freedom and cults for the bodies of all subjects that pass through their hands and, in turn, teachings.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El artículo que sigue tiene como objetivo describir las representaciones de la pomba-gira, figura femenina de Quimbanda, cercana a las fuerzas de los yabás, madres-de-santo de terreiros en la región sur de Rio Grande do Sul. La producción del mismo fue posible mediante la realización de nueve entrevistas semiestructuradas con directores de terreiros, previa aprobación del proyecto por el comité de ética en investigación con seres humanos. Como resultados, fue posible observar que las representaciones de las pomba-giras se acercan a las ideas de mujeres que rompen con las reglas sociales que definen sus roles sociales como sujetos, como seres domésticos y obedientes. Las representaciones de las entidades femeninas de Quimbanda ejemplifican el contrapunto, la resistencia y otras formas de ser mujer en sociedad, pues van en contra de la obediencia y el silenciamiento de voluntades. Las madres-de-santo, propietarias de los terreiros cumplen la función de desarrollar nociones de libertad y cultos a los cuerpos de todos los sujetos que pasan por sus manos y, a su vez, enseñanzas.]]></p></abstract>
