O caminho realizado percorreu pela análise de campo e de documento à luz do materialismo histórico - dialético. Reflete sobre a psicologia enquanto ciência e componente curricular acadêmico e o lugar que ela ocupa no campo da educação na produção e reprodução do conhecimento. Uma indagação fundamental norteou a pesquisa: de que forma a psicologia pode contribuir no processo de formação crítica de professores no ensino superior? Desvelando a naturalização da formação do ser humano e das relações sociais e tecendo apontamentos sobre o fracasso e a medicalização escolar. Os resultados apontam a relevância da Psicologia da Educação em uma perspectiva crítica na direção de transformar em realidade as possibilidades da formação densa dentro da sala de aula, contribuindo para uma práxis em consonância com os interesses da classe trabalhadora.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The article discusses the limits and possibilities for the construction of a critical teacher education, based on the Psychology of Education curricular component in a public university. The path taken was through field and document analysis in the light of dialectical historical materialism. It reflects about psychology as a science and academic curricular component and the place it occupies in the field of education in the production and reproduction of knowledge. A fundamental question guided the research: how can psychology contribute to the process of critical teacher education in higher education? Unveiling the naturalization of the formation of human beings and social relations and weaving notes on failure and school medicalization. The results point to the relevance of Educational Psychology in a critical perspective towards transforming into reality the possibilities of dense training within the classroom, contributing to a praxis in line with the interests of the working class.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El artículo discute los límites y posibilidades para la construcción de una formación docente crítica, a partir del componente curricular de Psicología de la Educación en una universidad pública. El camino recorrido fue a través del análisis de campo y de documentos a la luz del materialismo histórico- dialéctico. Reflexiona sobre la psicología como componente científico y académico curricular y el lugar que ocupa en el campo de la educación en la producción y reproducción del conocimiento. Una pregunta fundamental guió la investigación: ¿cómo puede la psicología contribuir al proceso de formación crítica del profesorado en la educación superior? Desvelando la naturalización de la formación del ser humano y las relaciones sociales y tejiendo notas sobre el fracaso y la medicalización escolar.
