Neste contexto, o objetivo do presente estudo consistiu em analisar produções científicas sobre adaptação transcultural e validação de instrumentos no contexto da educação especial. Para tanto, realizou-se uma revisão de literatura na Scientific Electronic Library Online, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e o Portal de Periódicos da CAPES. Como material de apoio para a análise foi utilizado o Preferred Reporting Items for Systematics Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA), após a análise, realizada em quatro etapas, obteve-se um total de 14 produções. Verificou-se que não há produção acadêmica expressiva na área, o que pode indicar uma carência de instrumentos validados e fidedignos no âmbito da educação especial. Constatou-se maior prevalência de estudos cujos instrumentos enfocaram as deficiências em geral e que contemplaram uma abordagem quantitativa para fins de tratamento e análise dos dados. Ressalta-se que os autores dos artigos selecionados, que aplicaram os instrumentos na populaçãoalvo, em sua maioria, contemplaram amostras significativas, o que proporcionou maior fidedignidade ao processo de adaptação transcultural e validação. Evidenciou-se a importância de novas investigações, na área, que explorem o mérito metodológico desse tipo de pesquisa, a fim de conhecer, de modo mais profundo, a qualidade dos instrumentos aplicados nos estudos nacionais no âmbito da educação especial.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The cross-cultural adaptation and validation of data collection instruments are configured as complex activities that need to be systematized, so that the scientific and methodological rigor is guaranteed, thus providing greater reliability and trustworthiness to the process. In this context, the objective of the present study is to analyze scientific productions on cross-cultural adaptation and validation of instruments in the context of special education. To this end, a literature review was carried out at the Scientific Electronic Library Online, the Virtual Health Library and the CAPES Periodicals Portal. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematics Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) was used as support material for the analysis. It was verified that there is no expressive academic production in the area, which may indicate a lack of validated and reliable instruments in the field of special education. There was a higher prevalence of studies whose instruments focused on disabilities in general, and which contemplated a quantitative approach for data treatment and analysis purposes. It is noteworthy that the authors of the selected articles, who applied the instruments to the target population, mostly contemplated expressions, which adopted greater reliability to the process of cross-cultural adaptation and validation. The importance of new research in the area, which explores the methodological merit of this type of research, was evidenced, in order to know, in a deeper way, the quality of the instruments applied in national studies within the scope of special education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La adaptación transcultural y la validación de instrumentos de recogida de datos se configuran como actividades complejas que necesitan ser sistematizadas de forma que se garantice el rigor científico y metodológico, dotando así de mayor fiabilidad y confiabilidad al proceso. En este contexto, el objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar las producciones científicas sobre adaptación transcultural y validación de instrumentos en el contexto de la educación especial. Para ello, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en la Scientific Electronic Library Online, Biblioteca Virtual de Salud y Portal de Periódicos da CAPES. Como material de apoyo para el análisis se utilizó el Preferred Reporting Items for Systematics Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). Se constató que no hay producción académica significativa en el área, lo que puede indicar la falta de instrumentos validados y confiables en el campo de la educación especial. Hubo una mayor prevalencia de estudios cuyos instrumentos se centraron en las discapacidades en general y que contemplaron un enfoque cuantitativo para fines de tratamiento y análisis de datos. Cabe destacar que los autores de los artículos seleccionados, que aplicaron los instrumentos a la población objetivo, incluyeron mayoritariamente muestras significativas, lo que proporcionó mayor fiabilidad al proceso de adaptación y validación transcultural. Se evidenció la importancia de nuevas investigaciones, en el área, explorando el mérito metodológico de ese tipo de pesquisa, para conocer, de forma más profunda, la calidad de los instrumentos aplicados en estudios nacionales en el ámbito de la educación especial.]]></p></abstract>
