Adotou-se a metodologia participativa com temas geradores, com 15 integrantes da Associação da Escola Família Agroextrativista do Bailique (AEFAB). Os resultados demonstram que as famílias participes relacionam a existência de uma escola família com a possibilidade da educação para sustentabilidade, redução do êxodo rural e permanência da juventude no território. Apesar disso, a percepção dos comunitários é que não existe clareza sobre as tomadas decisões para a implementação da Escola Família Agroextrativista do Bailique (EFAB) e há ausência de diálogo entre a diretoria da associação e as famílias. O processo de idealização e construção da EFAB representa a luta e re-existência para o acesso à educação gratuita e de qualidade para os povos do campo, das águas e da floresta, com o entendimento de que a escola representa a certeza de que seus direitos sociais sejam alcançados, para isso é necessário se alicerçar na própria pedagogia da alternância, tornando-se um espaço construído pelos povos ribeirinhos amazônicos, no qual se considera os múltiplos atores e complexidades sociais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This research seeks to understand the perception of community members about the process of construction of a family school in the Brazilian Amazon, with an emphasis on Freirean popular education and appreciation of sociocultural knowledge built in praxis. The participatory methodology with generating themes was adopted, with 15 members of the Bailique Agroextractivist Family School Association (AEFAB). The results demonstrate that participating families relate the existence of a family school with the possibility of education for sustainability, reduction of rural exodus and youth permanence in the territory. Despite this, the community's perception is that there is no clarity regarding the decisions made for the implementation of the Bailique Family Agroextractivist School (EFAB) and there is a lack of dialogue between the association's board of directors and the families. The process of idealization and construction of EFAB represents the struggle and re-existence for access to free and quality education for the people of the countryside, the waters and the forest, with the understanding that the school represents the certainty that their rights social aspects are achieved, for this it is necessary to be based on the pedagogy of alternation itself, becoming a space built by the Amazonian riverside peoples, in which multiple actors and social complexities are considered.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Esta investigación busca comprender la percepción de los miembros de la comunidad sobre el proceso de construcción de una escuela familiar en la Amazonía brasileña, con énfasis en la educación popular freireana y la valoración de los conocimientos socioculturales construidos en la praxis. Se adoptó la metodología participativa con temas generadores, con 15 integrantes de la Asociación Escuela Familiar Agroextractivista Bailique (AEFAB). Los resultados demuestran que las familias participantes relacionan la existencia de una escuela familiar con la posibilidad de una educación para la sostenibilidad, la reducción del éxodo rural y la permanencia de los jóvenes en el territorio. Pese a esto, la percepción de la comunidad es que no hay claridad respecto de las decisiones tomadas para la implementación de la Escuela Agroextractivista Familiar Bailique (EFAB) y falta diálogo entre la directiva de la asociación y las familias. El proceso de idealización y construcción de EFAB representa la lucha y reexistencia por el acceso a una educación gratuita y de calidad para la gente del campo, las aguas y la selva, en el entendido de que la escuela representa la certeza de que sus derechos sociales son logrados, para ello es necesario partir de la propia pedagogía de la alternancia, convirtiéndose en un espacio construido por los pueblos ribereños amazónicos, en el que se consideren múltiples actores y complejidades sociales.]]></p></abstract>
