Iniciamos o estudo com uma breve introdução, no intuito de mostrar as mudanças na escrita da História ao longo do século XIX e apresentar a concepção da disciplina que predominou no período. O referencial teórico que tomamos como base para o estudo do currículo da disciplina História foram as concepções do teórico inglês Ivor Goodson sobre o currículo prescrito.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract We hereby present the results of a survey conducted at the Center for Documentation and Memory of Colégio Pedro II (NUDOM) that aimed to understand the formation and characteristics of the curriculum of History course at Colégio Pedro II during the imperial period, based on the analysis of teaching programs and textbooks prepared by the titular professors. The study starts with a brief introduction, in order to show the changes in History writing throughout the nineteenth century and to present the discipline design that prevailed in the period. The theoretical framework taken as a basis for the study of the History curriculum derives from the conceptions of British theoretician Ivor Goodson on the prescribed curriculum.]]></p></abstract>
