A an&#225;lise realizada mostra que as concep&#231;&#245;es e pr&#225;ticas de Alda Lodi oscilaram entre o inovador e o tradicional no que concerne ao ensino da metodologia da aritm&#233;tica para as professoras prim&#225;rias, na Escola de Aperfei&#231;oamento e no curso de Administra&#231;&#227;o Escolar. Na complexa combina&#231;&#227;o de elementos escolanovistas e tradicionais que Alda Lodi usou para conduzir a forma&#231;&#227;o docente, assume papel relevante o fato de ter sido cat&#243;lica fervorosa e ter exercido sua atua&#231;&#227;o numa sociedade conservadora na qual o catolicismo era forte e poderoso. ]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The article presents our interpretation of educational practices developed in the training of teachers for the early years of elementary education, with regard to mathematics, in Minas Gerais, in the 1930s and 1940s. The sources for our research were documents of Alda Lodi&#8217;s personal archive. Our analysis shows that the concepts and practices of Alda Lodi oscilated between the innovative and the traditional with respect to the teaching of methodology of arithmetic for primary teachers, in Escola de Aperfei&#231;oamento and Curso de Administra&#231;&#227;o Escolar. In the complex combination of New Education characteristics and traditional elements used by Alda Lodi, an important role is played by Catholicism.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El art&#237;culo presenta nuestras interpretaciones sobre pr&#225;cticas educativas desarrolladas en la formaci&#243;n de docentes para los a&#241;os iniciales de la educaci&#243;n escolar, en lo que se refiere a las Matem&#225;ticas, en Minas Gerais, en las d&#233;cadas de 1930 e 1940, a partir de documentos del Archivo Personal Alda Lodi (APAL). El an&#225;lisis realizado muestra que las concepciones y pr&#225;cticas de Alda Lodi oscilaron entre lo innovador y lo tradicional en lo que concierne a la ense&#241;anza de la metodolog&#237;a de la aritm&#233;tica para las profesoras primarias, en la Escuela de Perfeccionamiento y en el curso de Administraci&#243;n Escolar. En la compleja combinaci&#243;n de elementos escolanovistas y tradicionales que Alda Lodi uso para conducir la formaci&#243;n docente, asume papel relevante el hecho de haber sido una fervorosa cat&#243;lica y haber ejercido su actuaci&#243;n en una sociedad conservadora en la cual el catolicismo era fuerte y poderoso.]]></p></abstract>
