Many companies have a central element in the family, roaming a way of life, and in the child a guarantee of survival. However, in a certain context, it appears that intergenerational relations are no longer primarily responsible for circus survival and specific school institutions for the training of artists began to emerge, such as the National Circus School (ENC). The cultural policies of the 1970s in Brazil began to invest in stimulating and directing cultural actions, minimizing the repression of the lead years. This text had the objective of analyzing the relations between Circus, culture and the Brazilian State of the 1970s and 80s that conditioned the creation of the National School of Circus, a state institution and the first of its kind in Latin America.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El circo tiene una forma diferente de organización y actualmente está configurado como una manifestación artística plural que supo adaptarse a las demandas de los tiempos contemporáneos. Muchas empresas tienen un elemento central en la familia, que deambulan por una forma de vida, y el niño la garantía de supervivencia. En cierto contexto, sin embargo, parece que las relaciones intergeneracionales ya no son las principales responsables de la supervivencia del circo y empezaron a surgir instituciones educativas específicas para la formación de artistas, tales como la Escuela Nacional de Circo (ENC). Em la década de 1970 las políticas culturales en Brasil están invirtiendo en el estímulo y la dirección de las actividades culturales, minimizando la represión de los años de plomo. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre el circo, la cultura y el estado brasileño de las décadas de 1970 a 1980 que condicionaron la creación de la Escuela Nacional de Circo, institución estatal y la primera de su tipo en América Latina.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O circo tem forma diversas de organização e se configura, atualmente, como uma manifestação artística plural e que soube se adaptar às exigências da contemporaneidade. Muitas companhias têm na família elemento central, na itinerância um modo de vida, e na criança a garantia de sobrevivência. Em certo contexto, no entanto, parece que as relações intergeracionais deixaram de ser as principais responsáveis pela sobrevivência do circo e começaram a surgir instituições escolares específicas para a formação de artistas, como é o caso da Escola Nacional de Circo (ENC). As políticas para a educação e a cultura da década de 1970 no Brasil passaram a investir na formação de pessoal técnico e no direcionamento das ações culturais, minimizando a repressão dos anos de chumbo. Este texto teve o objetivo de analisar as relações entre o Circo, a educação, a cultura e o Estado brasileiro das décadas de 1970/80 que condicionaram a criação da ENC, instituição estatal e primeira do tipo na América Latina.]]></p></abstract>
