Foi elaborado a partir da pesquisa bibliogr&#225;fica de autores como CARDOSO (2007), OLIVEIRA (2005, 2009), DALBOSCO (2009), GOERGEN (2009), SANTAELLA (2004), DEMO (2007), PIMENTA E ANASTASIOU (2002), dentre outros. A partir deste estudo foi poss&#237;vel tra&#231;ar um retrato da sociedade atual, o processo de globaliza&#231;&#227;o, especialmente a forma&#231;&#227;o de grandes blocos econ&#244;micos e analisar a import&#226;ncia das novas tecnologias no bojo dessa sociedade. A partir desse cen&#225;rio se apontou os desafios atuais para a forma&#231;&#227;o das novas gera&#231;&#245;es, especialmente pela escola. Conclui-se que bin&#244;mio educa&#231;&#227;o - tecnologia requer ainda muitas discuss&#245;es que apontam para a necessidade da forma&#231;&#227;o continuada de professores, pois mesmo sendo protagonistas na forma&#231;&#227;o da nova gera&#231;&#227;o ainda n&#227;o desenvolveram habilidades, conhecimento e atitudes necess&#225;rias para formar os sujeitos para a sociedade atual.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of this study is to analyze the role of education in societies that are globalized, complex and dominated by new technologies. This article was elaborated based on the literature of scholars such as CARDOSO (2007), OLIVEIRA (2005, 2009), DALBOSCO (2009), GOERGEN (2009), SANTAELLA (2004), DEMO (2007), PIMENTA and ANASTASIOU (2002), among others. Based on this study it was possible to trace a portrait of contemporary society, the process of globalization, especially the formation of large economic blocs, and to analyze the importance of new technologies in the core of society. Based on this scenario it was possible to highlight current challenges for the formation of new generations, especially as regards the school. We concluded that the binomial education - technology still requires further discussions that point to the need for continuous formation of teachers, because even being the protagonists on the formation of the new generation, they have not yet developed the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to form the subjects for the current society.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el papel de la educaci&#243;n en las sociedades globalizadas, complejas y dominadas por las nuevas tecnolog&#237;as. Fue extra&#237;da de la literatura de autores como CARDOSO (2007), OLIVEIRA (2005, 2009), DALBOSCO (2009), GOERGEN (2009), SANTAELLA (2004), DEMO (2007), PIMENTA y ANASTASIOU (2002), entre otros. A partir de este estudio, fue posible hacer un retrato de la sociedad contempor&#225;nea, el proceso de globalizaci&#243;n, especialmente la formaci&#243;n de grandes bloques econ&#243;micos y analizar la importancia de las nuevas tecnolog&#237;as en la sociedad actual. Fue este escenario en el que se&#241;al&#243; los desaf&#237;os para la formaci&#243;n de las nuevas generaciones, sobre todo por la escuela. Se concluye que el binomio educaci&#243;n - tecnolog&#237;a todav&#237;a requiere de muchas discusiones que apuntan a la necesidad de formaci&#243;n continua de profesores, formadores, porque a pesar de que las nuevas generaciones a&#250;n por desarrollar habilidades, conocimientos y actitudes necesarias para formar a los sujetos de la sociedad del conocimiento.]]></p></abstract>
