O objetivo desta investiga&#231;&#227;o foi identificar o que os dois mais influentes peri&#243;dicos cient&#237;ficos, Science e Nature, publicam sobre a educa&#231;&#227;o em ci&#234;ncias, em que segmentos da revista e sob qual(is) perspectiva(s). Realizamos um levantamento no per&#237;odo de 2006-2010, identificando 31 textos publicados na Nature que traziam men&#231;&#227;o &#224; educa&#231;&#227;o em ci&#234;ncias e 163 na Science. Na Science notou-se um volume crescente de textos relacionados &#224; educa&#231;&#227;o em ci&#234;ncias no per&#237;odo analisado, al&#233;m de uma maior concentra&#231;&#227;o na categoria "pol&#237;ticas (investimentos/avalia&#231;&#227;o) na/da educa&#231;&#227;o cient&#237;fica" seguida da categoria "ensino-aprendizagem, novos m&#233;todos/recursos". Na Nature, a categoria "rela&#231;&#227;o entre ci&#234;ncia e religi&#227;o" foi mais recorrente. A pesquisa se prop&#244;s a ampliar o di&#225;logo e levantar projetos de interesse comum das &#225;reas cient&#237;ficas b&#225;sicas e da pesquisa em educa&#231;&#227;o em ci&#234;ncias. A an&#225;lise apontou a necessidade de aproxima&#231;&#227;o dessas duas culturas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Los peri&#243;dicos son esenciales para el an&#225;lisis y la comprensi&#243;n de los movimientos cient&#237;ficos. El objetivo de esta investigaci&#243;n fue identificar qu&#233; los dos m&#225;s influyentes peri&#243;dicos cient&#237;ficos, Science y Nature, publican acerca de la educaci&#243;n en ciencias, en que segmentos de la revista y por cual(es) perspectiva(s). Realizamos un levantamiento en el periodo de 2006-2010, identificando 31 textos publicados en Nature que hac&#237;an menci&#243;n a la educaci&#243;n en ciencias y 163 en Science. En Science se nota un volumen creciente de textos relacionados a la educaci&#243;n en ciencias en el periodo analizado, adem&#225;s de una mayor concentraci&#243;n en la categor&#237;a "pol&#237;ticas (investimentos/evaluaci&#243;n) en la/de la educaci&#243;n cient&#237;fica", seguida de la categor&#237;a "ense&#241;anza-aprendizaje, nuevos m&#233;todos/recursos". En Nature, la categor&#237;a "relaci&#243;n entre ciencia y religi&#243;n" fue la m&#225;s recurrente. La investigaci&#243;n se propuso a ampliar el di&#225;logo y levantar proyectos de inter&#233;s com&#250;n de las &#225;reas cient&#237;ficas m&#225;sicas y de la investigaci&#243;n en educaci&#243;n en ciencias. El an&#225;lisis apunt&#243; la necesidad de aproximaci&#243;n de esas dos culturas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Periodicals are essential to the analysis and comprehension of the scientific trends. This investigation aimed at identifying what two of the most important periodicals about science publish on science education, under which perspectives and in which section of the periodical they are published. We conducted a survey on the number of articles published between 2006 and 2010 and we were able to identify 31 texts in Nature magazine whereas Science published 163 articles on science education. Science magazine concentrated more on the politics (investments) on/from science education followed by the teaching and learning approach, new methods and resources. Nature magazine the category the relation between science and religion were more frequent. The proposal of the research is to enhance discussion and lead to common projects between basic scientific areas and research on science education.]]></p></abstract>
