Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo revisão de literatura, de abordagem mista e caráter exploratório. Como coleta de dados recorreu-se às plataformas de busca Google Acadêmico, Periódicos Capes, SciELO, SciencDirect e Scopus, com recorte temporal de 2017 a 2022 e uso dos seguintes descritores: &#8220;STEAM and Ensino Fundamental&#8221; e &#8220;STEAM and elementary School&#8221;. Do universo pesquisado foram analisadas 45 produções científicas. Para a análise dos dados optou-se pela análise de conteúdo. Os resultados evidenciam que a abordagem STEAM em muito pode contribuir para o processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos estudantes do Ensino Fundamental, a citar: aprendizado ativo, melhora na aprendizagem, motivação e interesse, desenvolvimento de habilidades e competências, formação crítica e reflexiva, entre outros. Viu-se muitas práticas STEAM devenvolvidas, mas existe a necessidade de mais ações, dado que STEAM traz vários benefícios aos estudantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN: Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar artículos científicos y disertaciones sobre prácticas STEAM realizadas con estudiantes de educación básica de escuelas brasileñas y extranjeras. Se trata de una investigación bibliográfica del tipo revisión de literatura, con enfoque mixto y carácter exploratorio. Para la recolección de datos se utilizaron las plataformas de búsqueda Google Scholar, Periódicos Capes, SciELO, SciencDirect y Scopus, con un horizonte temporal de 2017 a 2022 y uso de los siguientes descriptores: &#8220;STEAM y Ensino Fundamental&#8221; y &#8220;STEAM y Escuela Primaria&#8221;. Del universo investigado, se analizaron 45 producciones científicas. Para el análisis de los datos se optó por el análisis de contenido. Los resultados muestran que el enfoque STEAM puede contribuir en gran medida al proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los estudiantes de primaria, incluyendo: aprendizaje activo, mejora del aprendizaje, motivación e interés, desarrollo de habilidades y competencias, formación crítica y reflexiva, entre otros. Vimos muchas prácticas STEAM desarrolladas, pero se necesitan más acciones, dado que STEAM trae varios beneficios a los estudiantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: This study aimed to analyze scientific articles and dissertations on STEAM practices carried out with elementary school students from Brazilian and foreign schools. This is a bibliographic research of the literature review type, with a mixed approach and exploratory character. Data collection was carried out using the search platforms Google Scholar, Capes Journals, SciELO, SciencDirect and Scopus, with a time frame from 2017 to 2022 and using the following descriptors: &#8220;STEAM and Elementary School&#8221; and &#8220;STEAM and elementary School&#8221;. From the universe researched, 45 scientific productions were analyzed. For the data analysis, content analysis was chosen. The results show that the STEAM approach can greatly contribute to the teaching and learning process of elementary school students, namely: active learning, improvement in learning, motivation and interest, development of skills and competencies, critical and reflective training, among others. Many STEAM practices were seen developed, but there is a need for more actions, given that STEAM brings several benefits to students.]]></p></abstract>
