A pesquisa é baseada nos princípios do ensino crítico-conscientizador de Paulo Freire e na abordagem integradora Ciência-Tecnologia-Sociedade (CTS). Adota-se uma metodologia qualitativa, focada no tema Freire-CTS, por meio do estudo de relatos e discursos dos educadores envolvidos em práticas pedagógicas e investigações de concepções e percepções no âmbito do ensino de ciências que incorporam esses pressupostos. A análise revelou diversos aspectos que indicam o desenvolvimento de reflexões, diálogo e pensamento crítico dentro de um processo de conscientização. Os resultados mostraram diferentes desdobramentos entre os educadores, ora permanecendo inertes diante das reflexões propostas, ora passando por momentos de autorreflexão, questionamento e transformações do seu status quo dentro do aspecto social e educacional]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN: Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la conciencia de los educadores participantes en contextos con presupuestos Freire-CTS, considerando su constitución como sujetos sociales y educacionales. La investigación se basa en los principios de la enseñanza crítica y concienciadora de Paulo Freire y en el enfoque integrador Ciencia-Tecnología-Sociedad (CTS). Se adopta una metodología cualitativa, centrada en el tema Freire-CTS, mediante el estudio de relatos y discursos de los educadores involucrados en prácticas pedagógicas e investigaciones sobre concepciones y percepciones en el ámbito de la enseñanza de ciencias que incorporan estos presupuestos. El análisis reveló diversos aspectos que indican el desarrollo de reflexiones, diálogo y pensamiento crítico dentro de un proceso de concienciación. Los resultados mostraron diferentes desenlaces entre los educadores, a veces permaneciendo inertes ante las reflexiones propuestas, y otras veces pasando por momentos de autorreflexión, cuestionamiento y transformaciones de su status quo en los aspectos social y educacional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: This article aims to analyze the awareness of educators participating in contexts with Freire-CTS assumptions, considering their constitution as social and educational subjects. The research is based on the principles of Paulo Freire's critical-conscious teaching and the integrative Science-Technology-Society (STS) approach. A qualitative methodology is adopted, focused on the Freire-STS theme, through the study of reports and speeches from educators involved in pedagogical practices and investigations of conceptions and perceptions in the field of science teaching that incorporate these assumptions. The analysis revealed various aspects indicating the development of reflections, dialogue, and critical thinking within a process of awareness. The results showed different outcomes among the educators, sometimes remaining inert in the face of the proposed reflections, and at other times undergoing moments of self-reflection, questioning, and transformations of their status quo within the social and educational spheres.]]></p></abstract>
