Nosso objetivo central foi compreender o Programa de Apoio à Formação Superior em Licenciatura em Educação do Campo (PROCAMPO) enquanto política pública específica de educação do campo, oriunda das mobilizações dos movimentos sociais. A pesquisa documental foi desenvolvida, predominantemente, em acervos bibliográficos. Entre as fontes de investigação, utilizamos legislações, portarias, decretos e referenciais teóricos sobre educação do campo nos movimentos sociais. Apoiamo-nos numa perspectiva sociológica de investigação e explicação dos processos sociais de participação dos sujeitos camponeses, enquanto seres históricos e culturais. Os resultados mostram que o PROCAMPO contribui para formação político-pedagógica dos educadores nas escolas do campo, respeitando-se os valores da solidariedade e da ética presentes na luta pela terra.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present text is the result of the research carried out in rural education in close articulation with social movements, in a historical and emancipatory perspective, developed in the Post-Doctorate in Education of the Federal Fluminense University (UFF). Our main objective was to understand the Program of Support for Higher Education in Licentiate in Field Education - PROCAMPO, as a specific public policy for education in the countryside, arising from the mobilizations of social movements. The documentary research was developed, predominantly, in bibliographic collections. We use research sources, legislation, ordinances, decrees and theoretical references on education of the field in social movements. We support a sociological perspective of investigation and explanation of the social processes of participation of the peasant subjects, as historical and cultural beings. The results show that PROCAMPO contributes to the political-pedagogical formation of educators in rural schools, respecting the values &#8203;&#8203;of solidarity and ethics present in the struggle for land.]]></p></abstract>
