Um desvio pela história, da segunda metade do século XX, constitui uma chave para compreender a transição de uma situação de forte hegemonia sindical para uma situação de claro enfraquecimento contemporâneo. É, então, analisado como isso se reflete nos resultados das eleições profissionais e como, no contexto do aumento das ofertas sindicais, o sindicalismo se mostra mais difícil de ser compreendido aos olhos dos professores, assim como a influência do seu declínio também advém de mudanças nos arranjos administrativos para a gestão da carreira. Para concluir, são examinadas algumas questões sindicais vigentes, em torno do &#8220;reconhecimento&#8221; profissional, do repertório da ação sindical e do próprio exercício da profissão.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article examines the professional identities of French primary and secondary school teachers through the lens of trade union membership and influence. A detour through the history of the second half of the 20th century provides a key to understanding the transition from strong union hegemony to a clear weakening today, and the effect of this weakening on professional election results. The article then considers how the multiplicity of trade unions on offer impact on teachers&#8217; understanding of the sector, while changes in the administrative procedures for managing careers also result in a decline in influence. We conclude by examining some current issues in teachers&#8217; unions around professional &#8216;recognition&#8217;, the repertoire of industrial action and actual working conditions.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El artículo interroga la cuestión de las identidades profesionales de los docentes franceses del primer y del segundo grado a partir de la perspectiva de las pertenencias e influencias sindicales. El repaso de la historia de la segunda mitad del siglo XX constituye un elemento de comprensión para medir la transición de una situación de fuerte hegemonía sindical a la de un franco debilitamiento contemporáneo. Se analiza después cómo éste se traduce en los resultados a las elecciones profesionales y cómo, en el contexto de una oferta sindical demultiplicada, el sindicalismo resulta ser más difícil de leer a ojos de los docentes, cómo su pérdida de influencia procede también de los cambios intervenidos en las modalidades administrativas de la gestión de las carreras. Se examinan finalmente algunas cuestiones sindicales vivas, acerca del «reconocimiento» profesional, del repertorio de la acción reivindicativa y del ejercicio del oficio propiamente dicho.]]></p></abstract>
