Para tanto, apresenta-se inicialmente uma breve caracteriza&#231;&#227;o dessa concep&#231;&#227;o, enfatizando-se a "miss&#227;o redentora" e de equaliza&#231;&#227;o social por ela confiada &#224; escola. Em seguida, procede-se &#224; descri&#231;&#227;o sum&#225;ria de alguns dos principais aspectos constitutivos do Programa de Lipman, para, posteriormente, explicitar-se a forma pela qual ele incorpora o ide&#225;rio liberal da educa&#231;&#227;o como "redentora". Finalmente, discutem-se algumas das implica&#231;&#245;es pol&#237;ticas e ideol&#243;gicas dessa incorpora&#231;&#227;o. Cabe esclarecer que a reflex&#227;o aqui apresentada n&#227;o se refere a nenhuma das pr&#225;ticas atuais de filosofia com crian&#231;as, mas &#224;s posi&#231;&#245;es do pr&#243;prio Lipman expressas fundamentalmente em duas de suas obras mais importantes: A filosofia vai &#224; escola e O pensar na educa&#231;&#227;o.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article argues that Matthew Lipman&#8223;s Philosophy for Children Program is based on a liberal conception of the relationship between education and society--a conception from which the idealist and non-critical character of his pedagogy derives. In order to demonstrate this, a short characterization of this conception is initially presented, emphasizing the equalizing and "redeeming" social mission that it entrusts to the schools. Afterwards, it briefly describes some of the main aspects of Lipman&#8223;s program, then explains the way in which it incorporates the liberal doctrine of the "redeeming" school. Finally, it discusses some of the political and ideological implications that follow from this incorporation. It is important to clarify that the reflection here presented does not refer to any of the actual practices of philosophy with children, but to Lipman&#8223;s own position, which is developed in two of his most important works, Philosophy Goes to School and Thinking in Education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: El presente art&#237;culo pretende demonstrar que el Programa de Filosof&#237;a para Ni&#241;os, de Matthew Lipman, se fundamenta en una concepci&#243;n liberal de la relaci&#243;n entre educaci&#243;n y sociedad, concepci&#243;n de la cual se desprende el car&#225;cter idealista y "no-cr&#237;tico" de su pedagog&#237;a. Para eso, se presenta inicialmente una breve caracterizaci&#243;n de esa concepci&#243;n, enfatizando la "misi&#243;n redentora" y de ecualizaci&#243;n social por ella confiada a la escuela. Enseguida, se procede a una descripci&#243;n resumida de algunos de los principales aspectos constitutivos del Programa de Lipman para, posteriormente, explicitar la forma en la cual incorpora el ideario liberal de la educaci&#243;n como "redentora". Finalmente, se discuten algunas de las implicaciones pol&#237;ticas e ideol&#243;gicas de esa incorporaci&#243;n. Cabe aclarar que la reflexi&#243;n aqu&#237; presentada no se refiere a ninguna de las pr&#225;cticas actuales de filosof&#237;a con ni&#241;os, sino a las posiciones del propio Lipman expresadas, fundamentalmente, en dos de sus obras m&#225;s importantes: La filosof&#237;a va a la escuela y Pensar en educaci&#243;n.]]></p></abstract>
