<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1984-59872013000200319&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1984-59872013000200319&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1984-59872013000200319&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: Este texto, de car&#225;ter ensa&#237;stico, tem por objetivo colocar em debate as rela&#231;&#245;es entre inf&#226;ncia e cultura contempor&#226;nea, mais especificamente, sobre o lugar social que as crian&#231;as ocupam na cibercultura, lugar esse vem se mostrando um tanto paradoxal: por vezes se atribui &#224;s crian&#231;as uma quase inata expertise; por outras, as supomos fr&#225;geis e desprotegidas. Trata-se de um esfor&#231;o de aproxima&#231;&#227;o e de delimita&#231;&#227;o de um objeto de estudo em permanente devir cujas transforma&#231;&#245;es ps&#237;quicas, sociais e culturais envolvidas afetam tamb&#233;m os modos de pesquisar e de produzir conhecimento. Isto exige, pois, uma constru&#231;&#227;o te&#243;rica e metodol&#243;gica em constante e vertiginoso processo que, mais do que poder contar com o conhecimento historicamente acumulado, parece manter-se mergulhada na intersec&#231;&#227;o de nossas incertezas. O caminho proposto para a formula&#231;&#227;o das indaga&#231;&#245;es que aqui queremos compartilhar com o leitor passa inicialmente por um levantamento da produ&#231;&#227;o discursiva sobre a rela&#231;&#227;o das crian&#231;as com a internet que circula no cotidiano e nas pesquisas de car&#225;ter acad&#234;mico e oficial. Num segundo momento buscamos a produ&#231;&#227;o discursiva do mercado para observar como a produ&#231;&#227;o de sites dirigidos para crian&#231;as dialoga com prerrogativas do saber dito especializado. Por fim, apresentamos uma perspectiva filos&#243;fica de an&#225;lise desses discursos amparada metaforicamente na narrativa hom&#233;rica e na releitura que Franz Kafka faz da passagem de Ulisses pela ilha das sereias. Com esse caminho buscamos analisar tend&#234;ncias que emergem na produ&#231;&#227;o de conhecimento sobre inf&#226;ncia e cibercultura e, junto disto, pensar sobre os desafios &#233;ticos e metodol&#243;gicos que a tem&#225;tica em tela imp&#245;e para os pesquisadores da inf&#226;ncia. ]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The goal of this paper is to discuss the relations between childhood and a contemporary world that has added a virtual dimension to culture. I argue that the social space that children occupy in the cyberculture has become a contradictory one: on one hand we see them as possessing a natural inborne expertise in this new dimension of the lifeworld; on the other, we see them as unprotected and fragile beings. Research into this contradiction seeks to identify the psychological, cultural, and social changes at play, and involves a methodological and theoretical construct in constant transformation. There is research on children&#180;s relations with the internet that revolves around their daily routine and actual use, which is typically produced in academic and bureaucratic settings. There is also research to be done on the market&#180;s discursive production in the creation of sites targeted specifically to children. A third approach to understanding the phenomenon of the child in cyberculture is a philosophical and a metaphorical one. Through invoking Franz Kafka's reading of Homer's account of Ulysses' encounter with the mermaid Sirens, we can identify discursive tendencies that emerge from the production of knowledge about childhood and cyberculture, and deliberate on the ethical and methodological challenges that face childhood researchers.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Este texto, en car&#225;cter de ensayo, tiene por objetivo colocar em debate las relaciones entre infancia y cultura contemporanea, especificamente, sobre el lugar social que la infancia ocupa em la cibercultura, lugar que se muestra de manera parad&#243;jica: a veces atribuy&#233;ndole uma habilidad casi innata; por otro, suponi&#233;ndola fr&#225;gil y desprotegida. Este escrito es um esfuerzo de aproximaci&#243;n y delimitaci&#243;n de um objeto de estudio em permanente devenir cuyas transformaciones y relaciones ps&#237;quicas, sociales y culturales afectan tambi&#233;n los modos de investigar y de producir conocimiento sobre el mismo. Esto exige, pues, una construcci&#243;n te&#243;rica y metodol&#243;gica en constante y vertiginoso proceso que, m&#225;s que enriquecerse con el conocimiento hist&#243;ricamente acumulado, parece estar profundamente afectado por nuestra incertidumbre. El camino propuesto para la formulaci&#243;n de las indagaciones que aqu&#237; queremos compartir con el lector pasa inicialmente por un levantamiento de la producci&#243;n discursiva sobre la relacion infancia e internet, relaci&#243;n que atraviesa el cotidiano y las investigaciones de car&#225;cter acad&#233;mico y oficial. En un segundo momento indagamos en la elaboraci&#243;n de discursos elaborados por el lenguaje de mercado para observar c&#243;mo la producci&#243;n de sitios de internet dirigidos al p&#250;blico infantil dialoga con las prerrogativas de dicho saberes especializados sobre infancia. Para finalizar, presentamos una perspectiva filos&#243;fica de an&#225;lisis de estos discursos, amparada metaf&#243;ricamente en la narrativa hom&#233;rica y en la relectura que Franz Kafka hace del pasaje de Ulises por la Isla de las Sirenas. Con este camino buscamos analizar tendencias emergentes en la producci&#243;n del conocimiento sobre infancia y cibercultura y, junto con esto, proponer reflexiones sobre los desafios &#233;ticos y metodol&#243;gicos que la tem&#225;tica en cuesti&#243;n coloca para los investigadores dedicados al tema de infancia.]]></p></abstract>
