Para isso, foram analisados os microdados do Censo Escolar da Educação Básica, disponibilizados pelo Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep), referentes às matrículas de alunos com cegueira, entre 2007 e 2018. Os dados foram agregados segundo as variáveis (modalidade de ensino, etapas de ensino, deficiência, sexo, cor/raça, idade). O estudo se orientou pela perspectiva da unidade entre as dimensões de qualidade e quantidade, sendo indissociáveis. Os resultados demonstram que 47 alunos com cegueira frequentaram a EJA em Belo Horizonte no período analisado, dentre os quais 23 apresentaram repetência ou promoção, a partir de dados de matrícula, sendo 47,8% do sexo masculino e 52,1% do sexo feminino. Em relação à cor/raça, 13 estudantes corresponderam à parda (56,2%), cinco à cor branca (21,7%), dois à preta (8,6%) e três não declarados (13%), indicando as desigualdades de acesso ao ensino, uma vez que a população preta, somada com a parda, foi a mais afetada. As 24matrículas de alunos que evadiram após um ano de estudo, isto é, 51,06%, revelam que esses estudantes não tiveram processos efetivos de escolarização.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This paper aims to analyze the school flow of students with blindness in Youth and Adult Education (known in Brazil by the Portuguese acronym EJA) in the city of Belo Horizonte/MG. To achieve the paper&#8217;s main goal, the microdata from the School Census of Basic Education, provided by National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (known in Brazil by the Portuguese acronym Inep) were analyzed, regarding the enrollment of students with blindness, between 2007 and 2018. The data were aggregated according to variables (type of education, stages of education, disability, sex, color/race, age). The study was guided by the perspective of the unity between the dimensions of quality and quantity, being inseparable. The results of the study showed that 47 students with blindness attended EJA in Belo Horizonte in the analyzed period. Among these students, 23 showed repetition or promotion, according to the enrollment data, in which 47.8% of them are male and 52.1% of them are female. Regarding to color or race, 13 students were mixed-race (56.2%), five were white (21.7%), two were black (8.6%), and three were undeclared (13%), indicating inequalities in access to education, since the black population, added to the mixed-race population, was the most affected. The 24 enrollments of students who dropped out after one year of study, that is, 51.06%, reveal that these students did not have effective schooling processes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el flujo escolar de alumnos con ceguera en la Educación de Jóvenes y Adultos (EJA), en la ciudad de Belo Horizonte/MG. Para ello, se analizaron microdatos del Censo Escolar de la Educación Básica puestos a disposición por el Instituto Nacional de Estudios e Investigaciones Educativas Anísio Teixeira (Inep), referentes a las matrículas de alumnos con ceguera, entre 2007 y 2018. Los datos fueron agregados según las variables (modo de enseñanza, etapas de enseñanza, discapacidad, género, color/raza, edad). El estudio se orientó desde la perspectiva de unidad entre las dimensiones de calidad y cantidad, que son inseparables. Los resultados mostraron que 47 estudiantes con ceguera asistieron a la EJA en Belo Horizonte durante el período analizado, entre los cuales 23 presentaron reprobación o promoción, según los datos de matrícula, siendo el 47,8% del sexo masculino y el 52,1% del sexo femenino. En cuanto al color/raza, 13 estudiantes eran pardos (56,2%), cinco blancos (21,7%), dos negros (8,6%) y tres no declarados (13%), lo que indica las desigualdades de acceso a la educación, ya que la población negra, junto con la parda, fue la más afectada. Las 24 matrículas de estudiantes que desertaron después de un año de estudios,es decir el 51,06%, revelan que estos estudiantes no tuvieron procesos de escolarización efectivos.]]></p></abstract>
