Destacam-se, assim, os grupos de apoio a pais como um recurso essencial de apoio social que permitem desenvolver relações de suporte positivas com outros pais e possibilitam o apoio mútuo com grande influência na competência social e emocional da criança e sua família. Com este estudo pretende-se conhecer, compreender e explorar: 1) As expectativas dos pais, quando da entrada, no grupo de apoio a pais; 2) Os benefícios que os pais consideraram obter pelo fato de participarem no grupo de apoio a pais; 3) As barreiras que identificam, no funcionamento do grupo de apoio a pais; 4) As recomendações de melhoria identificadas pelos pais, na dinâmica de funcionamento do grupo de apoio a pais. Este é um estudo qualitativo, com recurso a entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com 7 pais (5 mães e 2 pais) que recebem apoio numa Equipe Local de Intervenção da Zona Norte de Portugal. A análise e tratamento dos dados baseou-se na análise de conteúdo. A participação no Grupo de Apoio a Pais contribuiu para uma maior tranquilidade e empoderamento das famílias envolvidas, conduzindo a uma maior capacitação através de um aumento de informação e normalização das suas emoções.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In terms of early intervention, family-centered practices are predominant, highlighting the positive impact of social support networks on empowerment, well-being, improving family cohesion and child-family interaction patterns. Thus, parent support groups stand out as an essential resource of social support that allow the development of positive support relationships with other parents and enable mutual support with a great influence on the social and emotional competence of the child and his/her family. With this study we intend to know, understand and explore: 1) Parents' expectations, upon joining the parent support group; 2) The benefits that parents considered to obtain by participating in the parent support group; 3) The barriers they identify in the functioning of the parent support group; 4) The recommendations for improvement identified by the parents, in the dynamics of the parent support group. This is a qualitative study, using a semi-structured interviews with 7 parents who participated (5 mothers and 2 fathers) receive support from a Local Intervention Team in the North of Portugal. Data analysis and treatment was based on content analysis with categories. Participation in the Parents Support Group contributed to greater tranquility of the families involved, leading to higher empowerment through increased information and normalization of their emotions.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN En cuanto a la intervención temprana, predominan las prácticas centradas en la familia, destacando el impacto positivo de las redes de apoyo social en el empoderamiento, el bienestar, la mejora de la cohesión familiar y la mejora de los patrones de interacción niño-familia. Así, los grupos de apoyo a padres se destacan como un recurso esencial de apoyo social que permiten desarrollar relaciones positivas de apoyo con otros padres y posibilitan el apoyo mutuo con una gran influencia en la competencia social y emocional del niño y su familia. Con este estudio pretendemos conocer, comprender y explorar: 1) Las expectativas de los padres, al integrarse al grupo de apoyo para padres; 2) Los beneficios que los padres consideraron obtener al participar en el grupo de apoyo para padres; 3) Las barreras que identifican en el funcionamiento del grupo de apoyo para padres; 4) Las recomendaciones de mejora identificadas por los padres, en la dinámica del grupo de apoyo para padres. Se trata de un estudio cualitativo, utilizando una entrevista semiestructurada. Participaron en este estudio 7 padres (5 madres y 2 padres) que reciben apoyo de un Equipo de Intervención Local en el Norte de Portugal. El análisis y tratamiento de los datos se basó en el análisis de contenido. La participación en el Grupo de Apoyo para Padres contribuyó a una mayor tranquilidad y empoderamiento de las familias involucradas, lo que llevó a un mayor empoderamiento a través de una mayor información y normalización de sus emociones.]]></p></abstract>
