Parto do princípio de que a diferença faz parte da realidade humana. Por outro lado, a escola tem exercido uma ação distintiva, promovendo a padronização e a homogeneidade de características socioculturais hegemônicas. Busco ainda problematizar o corpo e seu lugar na sociedade enquanto objeto de processos discriminatórios. Para isso, faço uma relação entre o dualismo cartesiano e o paradigma da corporeidade. Em seguida, destaco o desafio de educar para diversidade e para a tolerância. Por fim, abordo o silenciamento do gênero e da sexualidade, a valorização da heteronormatividade e a negação da diversidade sexual nos processos pedagógicos. Com isso, proponho um posicionamento queer como caminho alternativo para uma educação mais justa que considere a pluralidade cultural.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This text presents a theoretical essay for the thematic area of “Education and Diversity”, in which I highlight the challenge of recognizing sexual diversity in the student-teacher relationship, based on the principle of difference as part of the human reality. On the other hand, the school has always exercised a distinctive action, promoting a standardization and homogeneity of hegemonic social-cultural characteristics. I also investigate the theme of the body and its place in society, as the object of discriminatory processes. I make a link between Cartesian dualism and the paradigm of corporeity. I then seek to highlight the challenge of education for diversity and tolerance. Finally, I address the silence that surrounds gender and sexuality, the appreciation of heteronormativity and the denial of sexual diversity in the pedagogical processes. With this, I propose a queer positioning as an alternative route to a fairer education that considers cultural plurality.]]></p></abstract>
