Procuramos n&#227;o s&#243; analisar, mas ampliar o conhecimento sobre a quest&#227;o que nos acompanhou durante e ap&#243;s o desenvolvimento da referida pesquisa. Consideramos que &#233; necess&#225;rio n&#227;o s&#243; conhecer a gera&#231;&#227;o jovem que est&#225; na escola, mas desenvolver a habilidade de escuta, antecedida de um olhar sens&#237;vel, como estrat&#233;gia para identificar diferentes contextos e direcionar as perguntas de modo que os colaboradores da pesquisa encontrem sentido em dela participar. Agregamos experi&#234;ncias anteriores sobre a pesquisa Juventude Brasileira e Democracia - participa&#231;&#227;o, esferas e pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas, realizada em 2004-2005. Constatamos a necessidade de um cuidado maior na elabora&#231;&#227;o e na aplica&#231;&#227;o dos instrumentos de pesquisa, considerando a invisibilidade de muitos jovens. Assim, os instrumentos de produ&#231;&#227;o dos dados quantitativos utilizados foram o foco da reflex&#227;o.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This paper presents a reflection on a study developed with public high schools students. Our aim is not only to analyze, but to further knowledge on an issue that was present during and after the development of the study. We believe it is necessary not only to have a good understanding of the young generation that is in school, but also to develop the ability to listen, preceded by a sensitive evaluation, as strategies for identifying different contexts, and to direct questions so that collaborators can find meaning in their participation in the research. We bring together previous experiences based on the project Brazilian Youth and Democracy - Participation, Spheres, and Public Politics, carried out from 2004 to 2005. We observed the need for greater care in the creation and application of the research tools, taking into account the invisibility of many young people. The focus of the reflection was, therefore, instruments for the production of the quantitative data.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Este art&#237;culo tiene por finalidad presentar la reflexi&#243;n suscitada por el desarrollo de una investigaci&#243;n con j&#243;venes estudiantes de escuelas p&#250;blicas de Ense&#241;anza Secundaria. Intentamos no solo analizar, sino tambi&#233;n ampliar el conocimiento sobre la pregunta que nos acompa&#241;&#243; durante y despu&#233;s del desarrollo de la mencionada investigaci&#243;n. Consideramos que es necesario no solamente conocer a la generaci&#243;n joven que est&#225; en la escuela secundaria, sino adem&#225;s desarrollar la habilidad de escuchar, antecedida por una mirada sensible, como estrategia para identificar diferentes contextos y direccionar las preguntas de modo que los colaboradores de la investigaci&#243;n encuentren un sentido al participar en la misma. Agregamos experiencias anteriores de la investigaci&#243;n Juventud Brasile&#241;a y Democracia - participaci&#243;n, esferas y pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas, realizada en 2004-2005. Constatamos la necesidad de un mayor cuidado en la elaboraci&#243;n y en la aplicaci&#243;n de los instrumentos de investigaci&#243;n, considerando la invisibilidad de muchos j&#243;venes. De esta forma, los instrumentos de producci&#243;n de datos cuantitativos utilizados fueron el foco de la reflexi&#243;n.]]></p></abstract>
