A docência é compreendida como prática social interativa que se estabelece pela ação social de crianças e professores no contexto da instituição de educação infantil. Este texto resulta de processo analítico, envolvendo pesquisa e extensão na realização de um curso de formação continuada para professoras de educação infantil, com o propósito de refletir sobre as especificidades da docência nesta etapa educacional. Apresenta como material de análise os registros de observação que integram o memorial de formação produzido pelos participantes do projeto. O memorial de formação é o recurso metodológico utilizado para o registro de trajetórias formativas, experiências profissionais, ação pedagógica e observações sobre as crianças que possibilita, o estabelecimento de um processo de formação e autoformação permanente e o conhecimento do cotidiano pedagógico. Os saberes e práticas profissionais das professoras de bebês e crianças bem pequenas constituem um importante campo de investigação tendo em vista que se trata de uma categoria profissional ainda em constituição. As conclusões apontam que pensar sobre a docência com bebês e crianças bem pequenas passa pela percepção e reconhecimento das singularidades de seus modos de comunicação em que o corpo se coloca como componente essencial da sua ação social.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article analyzes teaching practices with infants and very young children, emphasizing the specificities of pedagogical action in early childhood education with this age group. Teaching is understood as an interactive social practice that is established by the social action of children and teachers in the context of the early childhood education institution. This text is the result of an analytical process involving research and extension focused on a continuing education course for early childhood education teachers, with the purpose of reflecting on the specificities of teaching in this educational stage. As material for analysis, it presents the observation records that compose the training memorial produced by the project participants. The training memorial is used as a methodological resource to record the teachers&#8217; career paths, professional experiences, pedagogical practices, and observations about children. It enables a process of formation and permanent self-formation to be established, producing knowledge about the teachers&#8217; daily practices. The professional knowledge and practices of teachers of infants and young children constitute an important field of research, but this is a professional category that is still in the process of construction. This text concludes that thinking about teaching with infants and young children involves perceiving and recognizing singularities of their modes of communication, with the teacher&#8217;s body being an essential component of his/her social action.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: El presente artículo tuvo como objetivo analizar la docencia con bebes y niños pequeños, enfatizando las especificidades de la acción pedagógica en la educación infantil con ese grupo etario. Se comprende la docencia como práctica social interactiva que se establece por la acción social de niños y profesores en el contexto de la institución de educación infantil. Este texto resulta de proceso analítico, involucrando investigación y extensión en la realización de un curso de formación continuada para profesoras de educación infantil, con el propósito de reflexionar sobre las especificidades de la docencia en esta etapa educacional. Se presenta como material de análisis los registros de observación que compone el memorial de formación producido por participante del proyecto. El memorial de formación es el recurso metodológico utilizado para el registro de trayectorias formativas, experiencias profesionales, acción pedagógica y observaciones las que se refiere a los niños que posibilita, el establecimiento de un proceso de formación y autoformación permanente y el conocimiento del cotidiano pedagógico. Los saberes y prácticas profesionales de las profesoras de bebes y niños pequeños constituyen un importante campo de investigación teniendo en vista que se trata de una categoría profesional aún en constitución. Las conclusiones indican que pensar sobre la docencia con bebes y niños pequeños pasa por la percepción y reconocimiento de las singularidades de sus modos de comunicación en la que el cuerpo se coloca como componente esencial de su acción social.]]></p></abstract>
