Para tanto, prop&#245;e-se uma reflex&#227;o analisando a obra Os dois irm&#227;os, escrito por Wander Piroli e ilustrado por Odilon Moraes, selecionada pelo Programa Nacional Biblioteca da Escola (PNBE-2010) para acervos da Educa&#231;&#227;o Infantil. As discuss&#245;es restringiram-se aos aspectos verbais e visuais a partir do modo como o enredo contempla simbolicamente a aus&#234;ncia, a separa&#231;&#227;o, o abandono, a perda e a morte. Pelo estudo, constata-se que a literatura infantil promove a constru&#231;&#227;o de conhecimentos, implicando a atribui&#231;&#227;o de significado a partir das viv&#234;ncias do leitor. Desse modo, a escolha apropriada de um livro liter&#225;rio pode ajudar a crian&#231;a a lidar com diversas situa&#231;&#245;es conflitivas, dentre elas a morte.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Considering that death is part of human development and one of the most sensitive subjects to deal with in our society, especially when it involves to clarify the subject to children, this article has the purpose to discuss the possibility of this subject be approached at school, taking advantage of the literary works. Therefore,a study is proposed analyzing the work Os dois irm&#227;os [The two brothers], written by Wander Piroli and illustrated by Odilon Moraes, selected by the School Library National Program (PNBE-2010) for archives of early childhood education. The discussions were restricted to verbal and visual aspects from the way the story symbolically comprises the absence, separation, abandonment, loss and death. For the study, it is noted that children&#8217;s literature promotes the construction of knowledge, involving the meaning attribution from the reader&#8217;s experiences. Thereby, the appropriate choice of a book can help the child to deal with several situations associated to life, among them death.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Considerando que la muerte hace parte del desarrollo humano y que es uno de los temas m&#225;s sensibles de tratarse, especialmente cuando abarca el aclaramiento del tema con ni&#241;os, el presente art&#237;culo objetiva disertar sobre La posibilidad de ese tema ser tocado en el medio escolar, bas&#225;ndo se de obras literarias. Para eso, se propone un estudio analizando la obra Os dois irm&#227;os [Los dos Hermanos], escrito por Wander Piroli e ilustrado por Odilon Moraes, seleccionada por el &#8220;Programa Nacional Biblioteca da Escola&#8221; (PNBE-2010) para colecciones de Educaci&#243;n Infantil. Las discusiones se limitan a los aspectos verbales y visuales desde el modo como la trama ofrece simb&#243;licamente la ausencia, la separaci&#243;n, el abandono, la p&#233;rdida y la muerte. Por el estudio, se observa que la literatura infantil promueve la construcci&#243;n de conocimientos, que implican la asignaci&#243;n de significado desde las experiencias del lector. Por lo tanto, la adecuada elecci&#243;n de un libro literario puede ayudar el ni&#241;o a hacer frente a diversas situaciones de conflicto, entre ellas la muerte.]]></p></abstract>
