Em vista de sua importância para a Psicologia, neste trabalho objetivou-se investigar a compreensão de professores de Avaliação Psicológica sobre questões relacionadas ao ensino da área em cursos de Psicologia das Instituições de Ensino Superior do Ceará. Foi feito contato com os coordenadores das 10 instituições com o curso de Psicologia reconhecido pelo Ministério da Educação. Foi obtida autorização para realizar a pesquisa em oito (80%) e conseguiu-se contato com 14 professores. Para coleta de dados, utilizou-se um questionário respondido pelos professores. Constatou-se que 42,85% dos professores eram doutores e 76,90% definiram avaliação psicológica como um processo científico/de conhecimento. Todos os professores indicaram a importância das qualidades psicométricas dos testes como requisito mínimo para serem autorizados para o uso. A pesquisa possibilitou ter um panorama parcial do ensino e da formação do psicólogo em Avaliação Psicológica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The Psychological Assessment is the only area of activity restricted to the psychologist. Given the importance of this area for Psychology, this study purposed to investigate the understanding of Psychological Assessment teachers on issues related to teaching of the area in Psychology courses of Higher Education Institutions of Ceará. Contact was made with the coordinators of the 10 institutions that had Psychology undergraduate courses recognized by the Ministry of Education. Was obtained authorization to carry out research in eight (80%) and was kept contact with 14 teachers. To collect data a questionnaire was used which was answered by the teachers. It was found that 42.85% of the teachers were doctors and 76.90% defined the Psychological Assessment as a scientific and/or knowledge process. All the teachers pointed out the importance of the psychometric qualities of the tests as a minimum requirement for being allowed to use. The research allowed having a partial picture of psychology teaching and psychologist training in Psychological Assessment.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La evaluación psicológica es la única área de actividad restricta al psicólogo. En vista de su importancia para la Psicología, este trabajo tuvo como objetivo investigar la comprensión de los profesores de Evaluación Psicológica sobre temas relacionados con la enseñanza del área en los cursos de Psicología de las Instituciones de Educación Superior de Ceará (Ceará es una de las comunidades autônomas de la region nordeste de Brasil). Se estableció contacto con los coordinadores de las 10 instituciones con el curso de Psicología reconocido por el Ministerio de Educación. Se obtuvo autorización para realizar la investigación en ocho (80%) y se ha logrado contactar 14 docentes. Para la recolección de datos, se utilizó un cuestionario respondido por los profesores. Se encontró que el 42.85% de los docentes eran doctores y el 76.90% definieron la evaluación psicológica como un proceso científico/de conocimiento. Todos los profesores apuntaron la importancia de las propiedades psicométricas de las pruebas cómo requisito mínimo para autorizar su utilizacion. La investigación ha posibilitado tener un panorama parcial de la enseñanza y la formación del psicólogo en Evaluación Psicológica.]]></p></abstract>
