Desta forma, a violência formada por processos sociais gerou frutos que chegaram até a escola e os tratos instalados em seu âmbito, demandando ao homem o confronto por meio de ações. O levantamento das produções científicas é de relevância para que se possa conhecer como determinada realidade concreta se manifesta, é analisada por diferentes olhares e permite continuidades no processo de produção do conhecimento. Este trabalho é resultado de um mapeamento dos trabalhos relacionados à violência na escola e seus enfrentamentos, encontrados na plataforma da Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) e no banco de teses e dissertações da Universidade de São Paulo - USP, entre os anos de 2003 e 2016, que foram categorizados em: pesquisas que abordassem a forma como a violência era enfrentada em escolas de macrorregiões e/ou locais. Evidenciou-se que poucos estudos, entre os selecionados, dedicaram-se a investigar o enfrentamento da violência somente com os relatos apresentados pelos coordenadores pedagógicos ou familiares. A maioria realizou pesquisas com todos os participantes da escola (gestores, professores, alunos e pais) ou diretores e coordenadores, ou somente com professores, ou somente com alunos. Foi constatado que somente o estudo de Freire e Aires (2012) aponta a presença do psicólogo nas práticas de enfrentamento da violência. Percebeu-se também a dificuldade que todos os trabalhos encontrados tiveram de conceituar o que seria enfrentamento da violência pela escola, visto que muitos se preocupam somente em conceituar a violência e acabam carecendo de conceituações que definam o que é enfrentamento no que diz respeito à violência e às possíveis maneiras de se manifestar na escola. Estavam presentes nos estudos enfrentamentos relacionados à advertência verbal e/ou escrita, livros de ocorrência, comunicação com pais ou responsáveis, aplicação e análise de círculos de cultura, mediação das situações de conflito por um professor mediador, programas de intervenção e educação em saúde, atuação democrática dos escolares, contato com Conselho Tutelar, Guarda Municipal e Promotoria Pública, dependendo da complexidade do caso, formação de profissionais educadores, estratégias de promoção de saúde, desenvolvimento socioeducativo, práticas de esporte e lazer, prevenção de doenças e prevenção de traumas. O Profissional que atua na interface com a Educação e se depara com a violência, mais do que identificar as características individuais dos atores escolares que contribuem para os problemas que acontecem na escola, deve criar espaços e se apropriar de referenciais para compreender os contextos, os determinantes sociais que colabora para o seu aparecimento e criar medidas de enfrentamento coletivas que garantem o desenvolvimento humano dos escolares.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The school and the subjects who are part of it are the result of a long and permeated process of historical and social conflicts, which implies several contradictions. In this way, the violence formed by social processes generated fruits that reached the school and the treatments installed in its scope, demanding from the man the confrontation through actions. The survey of scientific productions is relevant to know how a certain concrete reality manifests itself, is analyzed from different perspectives and allows for continuities in the knowledge production process. This work is the result of a mapping of works related to violence at school and its confrontations, found in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) platform and in the theses and dissertations database of the University of São Paulo - USP, between 2003 and 2016, which were categorized into: research that addressed how violence was faced in macro-region and/or local schools. It was evident that few studies, among those selected, were dedicated to investigating the confrontation of violence only with the reports presented by the pedagogical coordinators or family members. Most conducted surveys with all school participants (managers, teachers, students and parents) or principals and coordinators, or only teachers, or only students. It was found that only the study by Freire and Aires (2012) indicates the presence of the psychologist in the practices of coping with violence. It was also noticed the difficulty that all the works found had to conceptualize what would be the confrontation of violence by the school, since many are concerned only with conceptualizing violence and end up lacking concepts that define what coping regarding violence is and the possible ways to express themselves at school. The studies included confrontations related to verbal and/or written warning, occurrence books, communication with parents or guardians, application and analysis of cultural circles, mediation of conflict situations by a mediating teacher, intervention and health education programs, democratic performance of students, contact with Guardianship Council, Municipal Guard and Public Prosecutor, depending on the complexity of the case, training of professional educators, health promotion strategies, socio-educational development, sports and leisure practices, disease prevention and trauma prevention. Professionals who work at the interface with Education and are faced with violence, more than identifying the individual characteristics of school actors that contribute to the problems that occur at school, must create spaces and appropriate references to understand the contexts, the social determinants that contribute to its emergence and create collective coping measures that guarantee the human development of students.]]></p></abstract>
