Usou-se a base com dados longitudinais produzidos pelo “Projeto Geres 2005”, que acompanhou uma mesma amostra de alunos durante os quatro primeiros anos do ensino fundamental em cinco cidades brasileiras. Os índices aceitáveis de validade e confiabilidade dos fatores resultantes dos diferentes questionários de contexto permitem o seu uso em outras pesquisas. O trabalho também oferece subsídios metodológicos para futuros estudos longitudinais em painel e constata que os recursos estatísticos, apesar de transmitirem a ideia de precisão, são, na verdade, ferramentas que orientam as decisões dos pesquisadores, seja na tolerância usada diante dos diversos valores, seja na decisão conceitual aplicada na definição dos constructos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The present article presents the methodology to reduce the number of variables, the description of each construct as well as the measures that were produced during the Exploratorial Factor Analysis (EFA). There was used longitudinal data produced by Geres Project 2005, which followed a sample of students during the first years of elementary school in five cities in Brazil. The acceptable validity and trustability indexs of the resultant factors of the different context questionnaires enabled their use in other researches. Moreover, the work offers methodological subsidies to future panel longitudinal studies and attests that despite the fact that statistical resources transmit an idea of precision, they are, in fact, resources to guide the researchers decisions not only concerning the level of tolerance to be used but also the conceptual decision applied to the constructs definition.]]></p></abstract>
