Apesar disso, sua mensuração ainda enfrenta algumas dificuldades por necessitar de uma combinação de medidas estatísticas para encontrar resultados fidedignos com a realidade da comunidade analisada. Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o nível de capital social em estudantes universitários de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior, com os cursos superiores de Administração e Agronomia em três municípios do Extremo-Oeste catarinense: Maravilha, São José do Cedro e São Miguel do Oeste. Foi utilizada como base a pesquisa bibliográfica fundamentada nos estudos de Macke (2006), Sarate e Macke (2007), no modelo desenvolvido por Onyx e Bullen (2000) e no método descritivo. Foram utilizadas as ferramentas estatísticas de análise descritiva, fatorial, de regressão e de variância, com o auxílio do software Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS). A análise das descobertas da pesquisa considerou os aspectos socioculturais da região em estudo e procurou, assim, construir relações alinhadas às especificidades e às forças endógenas do local.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The concept of social capital related to the economic development of regions and countries began to gain importance in the 1990s. Nevertheless, its measurement is still facing some difficulties, because it requires a combination of statistical measures to find reliable results with the reality of community analysis. This study aimed to evaluate the level of social capital on college students of an institution of higher education with university courses in Management and Agronomy in three districts of the Extremo-Oeste of Santa Catarina: Maravilha, São José do Cedro and São Miguel do Oeste. Was used as a basis for literature based on studies of Macke (2006), Sarate and Macke (2007), and the model developed by Onyx and Bullen (2000), and descriptive method. We used the statistical tools of descriptive analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis and analysis of variance, with the aid of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science). The analysis of research findings took into account the sociocultural aspects of the study area and is therefore seeking to build relationships that are aligned with the specific and the endogenous forces of the site.]]></p></abstract>
