Este estudo objetiva refletir sobre a formação de professores a partir do uso de casos de ensino. Reporta-se a experiência de construção e uso de casos de ensino como instrumento didático para o diálogo e a reflexão sobre a prática docente em cursos da área da saúde, em um Programa Institucional de Formação Docente de uma universidade pública do sul do Brasil. A experiência tem mais de uma década e contempla a discussão de temáticas como o planejamento do ensino a nível micro (o uso de estratégias de ensino, a avaliação; o uso das tecnologias) e a nível macro (as políticas educacionais, as diretrizes curriculares), assim como a integração ensino-serviços de saúde; as práticas de extensão e o binômio ensino-pesquisa, o preparo/formação para a docência, dentre outros temas. Na experiência são utilizados casos de ensino prontos (baseados em histórias reais ou fictícias) e também a construção de narrativas baseadas nas experiências de ensino mais marcantes (positivas ou negativas) vividas pelos participantes enquanto alunos e/ou professores. Os resultados demonstram a importância do uso das narrativas durante o processo formativo para a construção de sentidos sobre a prática docente, podendo ser potente recurso para a formação em serviço, de docentes iniciantes e experientes e fonte de discussão sobre os processos de aprendizagens do ensinar e aprender em saúde, sobre a aprendizagem da docência como processo e no contexto de trabalho.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Teaching formation is an object of interest for educational policies and educational management at all levels. This paper aims to appraise the teaching formation of university health professors throughout the use of teaching cases. Therefore, we report here a decade of experience of an institutional program of teaching formation from a public institution in the south of Brazil. An experience in which the writing and use of cases of teaching have been used as a didactic instrument to promote discussion and reflection on the teaching practice in the health area. The described teaching formation has developed the discussion of the teaching plan at a micro-level (teaching strategies; assessment and use of technologies) and macro-level (educational policies and curricular guidelines); the integration of the teaching and the health services and the teaching-research dyad among others. Participants have been invited to discuss ready teaching cases (based on real or fictional stories) as well as to write narratives of remarkable teaching/learning experiences (positive and negative ones). Our results suggest the potential use of narratives for teacher professional development with novice and experienced professors as it promotes an opportunity for discussing the teaching and learning process in the health area and the continuous learning of teaching in the work context.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: La formación docente es objeto de interés de las políticas educacionales y de lagestión de laeducaciónen todos los niveles. Este estudiotiene por objetivo reflexionar sobre laformación de profesores para laenseñanza superior ensalud, a partir del uso de casos de enseñanza. Se reporta la experiencia de construcción y uso de casos de enseñanza como instrumento didáctico para el diálogo y lareflexión sobre lapráctica docente en cursos del área de salud, enun Programa Institucional de Formación Docente de una universidad pública delsur de Brasil. La experiencia tiene más de una década y contempla ladiscusión de temáticas como laplanificación de enseñanzaennivel micro (el uso de estrategias de enseñanza, laevaluación, el uso de tecnologías) y ennivel macro (las políticas educacionales, lasdirectrices curriculares), así como laintegraciónenseñanza-servicios de salud; lasprácticas de extensiónuniversitaria y elbinomioenseñanza-investigación, el preparo/laformación para ladocencia, entre otros temas. Se utilizanenla experiencia casos de enseñanzalistos (basadosenhistoriasreales o ficcionales) y también la construcción de narrativas basadas en las experiencias de enseñanza más destacadas (positivas o negativas) vividas por los participantes en tanto que alumnos, y/o profesores. Los resultados demuestranlaimportanciadel uso de las narrativas durante elproceso formativo para laconstrucción de sentido sobre lapráctica docente, pudiendoconvertirseenun potente recurso para laformaciónenservicio de docentes iniciantes y experimentados y fuente de discusión sobre losprocesos de aprendizajesdelenseñar y aprender ensalud, sobre elaprendizaje de ladocencia como proceso y enel contexto laboral.]]></p></abstract>
