O estudo foi desenvolvido com estudantes de cursos de licenciatura da UFPE, em Recife (PE). Realizamos dois grupos focais, um com estudantes das &#225;reas de ci&#234;ncias humanas e outro com estudantes de exatas e sa&#250;de. As discuss&#245;es dos grupos foram interpretadas atrav&#233;s da an&#225;lise de conte&#250;do. Os resultados revelaram representa&#231;&#245;es sociais de forma&#231;&#227;o pedag&#243;gica centradas em quest&#245;es did&#225;ticas e metodol&#243;gicas. Contudo, os futuros professores t&#234;m no&#231;&#227;o do contexto das lutas pol&#237;ticas pela busca da valoriza&#231;&#227;o profissional que t&#234;m pela frente e demonstram reconhecer seus futuros alunos como sujeitos, atores do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Sinalizamos para a necessidade de se construir canais mais efetivos de comunica&#231;&#227;o entre os cursos de maneira a articular o espec&#237;fico e o pedag&#243;gico, t&#227;o defendidos e, ao mesmo tempo, t&#227;o distantes no processo formativo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article analyzes the social representations of pedagogical training of future teachers. The study was conducted with students of undergraduate programs at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Recife (Pernambuco State). We conducted two focus groups, one with students of human sciences and the other one with students of hard and health sciences. The group discussions were interpreted using content analysis. The results revealed social representations of pedagogical training focused on teaching and methodological issues. However, future teachers are aware of the context of political struggles for the search for professional development that lie ahead of them and show that they recognize their future students as subjects, as actors in the teaching-learning process. We stress the need to build more effective channels of communication between programs in order to articulate the specific and the pedagogical elements, which are so much advocated and yet so distant in the training process.]]></p></abstract>
