Seguindo uma orienta&#231;&#227;o qualitativa, foram feitas entrevistas semiestruturadas a quatro professoras e &#224; diretora de uma escola de ensino b&#225;sico da cidade do Porto e a dois professores de uma universidade p&#250;blica. Os discursos, interpretados por an&#225;lise de conte&#250;do, permitem concluir que, embora sejam valorizadas pr&#225;ticas de trabalho colaborativo, as pol&#237;ticas atuais e a intensifica&#231;&#227;o do trabalho docente, bem como a forte press&#227;o gerada por exames nacionais e internacionais, t&#234;m tido como consequ&#234;ncia que grande parte dos professores se afaste de pr&#225;ticas colaborativas estimuladas por pol&#237;ticas do final do s&#233;culo XX e se voltem para o treinamento dos estudantes, na expectativa de resultados imediatos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This paper is focused on teacher's collaborative work. Its main objective is to compare public policies principles in two different phases of the Portuguese educational system. The study, which follows a qualitative orientation, collected data from interviews performed on four teachers and a Porto school principle, as well from two public Portuguese university professors. Their discourses were analysed through content analyses. The study allowed the conclusion that, even though collaborative work is valued, the current policies are preventing it. Teacher's intensive workload and the pressure resulting from the national and international evaluation are generating a decrease in collaborative work that was stimulated by policies at the end of the 20th century. Nowadays, teachers are working with the students in order to achieve fast academic results.]]></p></abstract>
