Centra-se na experiência vivenciada durante as entrevistas com uma das participantes, em que o silêncio se fez marcante e levou-nos a aprofundar discussões sobre o não dizer em pesquisas narrativas. A pesquisa realizada é do tipo qualitativa e narrativa, por trabalhar com o universo dos significados, crenças, valores e atitudes do sujeito, assim como das percepções dos entrevistados, suas reflexões sobre sua condição, dificuldades encontradas nas vivências com a hospitalização, reações, gestos e como expressa suas experiências através do desenho. O que não se esperava era encontrar tão grande dificuldade com o ato de narrar. Esse processo acabou por impulsionar a reflexividade (auto)biográfica, principalmente por parte de quem estava ali para escutar. Quatro pessoas participaram do estudo, mas aqui refletiremos sobre a participação de uma adolescente de 14 anos, hospitalizada há mais de um mês, com vistas a entender como o seu &#8220;não dizer&#8221; é impregnado de sentidos e, assim como o dizer, faz parte de uma história, de um processo identitário abalado pelo adoecimento.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: The text results from research on narratives and school disengagement, focusing on analyzing the perceptions of children and families in hospitalization situations. It centers on the experience during interviews with one of the participants, where silence became a significant element, leading us to deepen discussions on the unsaid in narrative research. The research conducted is qualitative and narrative, as it deals with the realm of meanings, beliefs, values, and attitudes of the subjects, as well as the perceptions of the interviewees, their reflections on their condition, difficulties encountered during hospitalization, reactions, gestures, and how they express their experiences through drawing. What was unexpected was encountering such a significant difficulty with the act of narrating. This process ended up fostering (auto)biographical reflexivity, especially on the part of those who were there to listen. Four people participated in the study, but here we will reflect on the participation of a 14-year-old adolescent, hospitalized for over a month, with a view to understanding how her &#8220;unsaid&#8221; is imbued with meaning and, like the said, is part of a story and an identity process disrupted by illness.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN: El texto resulta de una investigación sobre narrativas y ausentismo escolar, centrándose en el análisis de las percepciones de niños y familiares en situaciones de hospitalización. Se centra en la experiencia durante las entrevistas a uno de los participantes, en las que el silencio fue notable y nos llevó a profundizar discusiones sobre el no decir en la investigación narrativa. La investigación realizada es cualitativa y narrativa, pues se trabaja con el universo de significados, creencias, valores y actitudes del sujeto, así como las percepciones de los entrevistados, sus reflexiones sobre su condición, dificultades encontradas en sus experiencias con hospitalización, reacciones, gestos y cómo expresa sus vivencias a través del dibujo. Lo que no se esperaba era encontrar tanta dificultad con el acto de narrar. Este proceso acabó impulsando la reflexividad (auto)biográfica, especialmente por parte de quienes estaban allí para escuchar. En el estudio participaron cuatro personas, pero aquí reflexionaremos sobre la participación de una adolescente de 14 años, hospitalizada desde hace más de un mes, con el fin de comprender cómo su &#8220;no decir&#8221; está permeado de significados y, como decir, es parte de una historia, de un proceso identitario sacudido por la enfermedad.]]></p></abstract>
