Considerando a Educa&#231;&#227;o Infantil como uma fase importante para o desenvolvimento das crian&#231;as, reflete sobre o curr&#237;culo para essa etapa de ensino e questiona os encaminhamentos adotados nas pr&#225;ticas que privilegiam um planejamento assentado em datas comemorativas no calend&#225;rio escolar, pois tratam as situa&#231;&#245;es de forma superficial e muitas vezes estereotipada. Essa cultura do espet&#225;culo segue o que j&#225; &#233; proclamado pela m&#237;dia e publicidade, que usam as datas para vender produtos por meio de apelo afetivo. As institui&#231;&#245;es, por sua vez, furtam-se ao enfrentamento dessas quest&#245;es e ao debate, na medida em que legitimam e refor&#231;am, de forma acr&#237;tica, esse discurso. Trata-se de estudo te&#243;rico, assentado em autores como Ostetto (2017; 2012; 2011), Barbosa (2006), dentre outros, que ajudam a pensar acerca do trabalho pedag&#243;gico com crian&#231;as pequenas. A despeito da pouca literatura que trata da tem&#225;tica em debate, a reflex&#227;o orienta no sentido de pensar sobre o que tem sido privilegiado no trabalho com crian&#231;as, sobre a aus&#234;ncia de reflex&#227;o que mormente acompanha as comemora&#231;&#245;es nas institui&#231;&#245;es educativas e a necessidade de enfrentamento dessa quest&#227;o por parte de professores e escolas. A execu&#231;&#227;o de atividades repetitivas, destitu&#237;das de significado e participa&#231;&#227;o efetiva das crian&#231;as, vai na contram&#227;o de uma educa&#231;&#227;o humanizadora, desloca a energia dos professores para esses momentos, deixando de lado quest&#245;es curriculares imprescind&#237;veis &#224; forma&#231;&#227;o dos pequenos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The purpose of this text is to problematize the work with commemorative days as instituted and practiced in educational institutions, usually through festivities that include presentations, souvenirs and dances, as well as theme weeks. Considering early childhood education as an important phase for children development, it reflects on the curriculum for this stage of education and questions the guidelines adopted in practices that favor planning based on commemorative dates in the school calendar, since they treat situations superficially and often in a stereotyped manner. This spectacle culture follows what is already proclaimed by advertising and the media, which uses the dates to sell products through affective appeal. Institutions, on the other hand, avoid addressing these issues and any debate, to the extent to which they uncritically legitimize and reinforce this discourse. It is theoretical study, based on authors such as Ostetto (2017; 2012; 2011), Barbosa (2006), among others, who help us to think about pedagogical work with young children. In spite of the little literature that deals with the subject under debate, this reflection guides us to think about what has been privileged in the work with the children, about the lack of reflection that accompanies commemorative day celebrations in the educational institutions and the necessity of teachers and schools confronting these matters. The implementation of repetitive activities, devoid of meaning and effective participation of children, goes against a humanizing education, displaces the energy of teachers for these moments, leaving aside the essential curricular issues for the education of children.]]></p></abstract>
