<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2178-46122021000100106&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2178-46122021000100106&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2178-46122021000100106&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo A violência percebida &#8211; e vivida &#8211; por estudantes manifesta-se de múltiplas maneiras, no ambiente escolar, entretanto um dos tipos de violência que provoca grande dano físico e psíquico ao estudante é a agressão conhecida como bullying (valentão ou brigão em tradução livre para a língua portuguesa). Esse pode ser compreendido como práticas de atos violentos, intencionais e repetitivos de uma pessoa contra outra. Como decorrências, a vítima pode sofrer desde sintomas de ansiedade, depressão, baixo desempenho escolar, comportamentos antissociais e stress, até autoflagelação e suicídio. Partindo desse contexto, o presente artigo objetivou discutir, criticamente, o papel da família e da escola como espaços que podem erigir e potencializar o fenômeno bullying, bem como sugerir possibilidades de ação na perspectiva da cultura de paz no ambiente escolar. Como caminho metodológico, foi entrevistado um estudante que, por longos anos, foi vítima de bullying. As entrevistas ocorreram na perspectiva da História Oral, a qual impele um olhar sociocultural ao fenômeno narrado, compreendendo que nenhuma história é apenas individual, mas está inscrita num cenário social e culturalmente construído. O suporte teórico está apoiado nos estudos de Pierre Bourdieu (1996), Cleo Fante (2011), Miriam Abramovay (2010), entre outros autores, que auxiliam a refletir sobre as relações socioculturais na interface com a violência escolar. O texto foi finalizado com uma análise crítica a respeito do papel da escola no combate e na prevenção do bullying, bem como indicando possibilidades de ação para lidar com o problema, tendo como base a comunicação não violenta, a disciplina positiva, dentre outros caminhos que se inserem na perspectiva da cultura de paz.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The violence perceived &#8211; and experienced &#8211; by students manifests itself in multiple ways in the school environment, however one of the types of violence that causes great physical and psychological damage to students is the aggression known as bullying (bully or bully in free translation into the language) Portuguese). This can be understood as the practice of violent, intentional and repetitive acts by one person against another. As a result, the victim may suffer from symptoms of anxiety, depression, poor school performance, antisocial behavior and stress, to self-harm and suicide. Based on this context, the present article discussed the phenomenon of bullying (in its also homophobic aspect) from the experience of a subject who experienced such violence in the school environment for many years, in order to provide a critical-reflective process on the subject in question. Therefore, the biographical narrative was chosen as the methodological path, which impels a socio-cultural look at the narrated phenomenon, understanding that no story is only individual, but is inscribed in a socially and culturally constructed scenario. Theoretical support is supported by the studies of Pierre Bourdieu (1996), Cleo Fante (2011), Miriam Abramovay (2010) among other authors who help to reflect on the socio-cultural relations at the interface with school violence. The text ended with a critical analysis of the school&#8217;s role in combating and preventing bullying, as well as indicating possibilities for action to deal with the problem, based on non-violent communication, positive discipline, among other ways inserted in the perspective of a culture of peace.]]></p></abstract>
