Ao longo do tempo, essas concepções foram sendo modificadas a partir de demandas econômicas e sociais da sociedade eurocentrada. Dessa maneira, inspirados em Larrosa (2004), ensejamos compartilhar neste texto, de maneira ensaística, nossas reflexões sobre os estudos de infância a partir da perspectiva do sul global. Entendemos que a infância não é mais uma experiência universal, ela é construída exprimindo as diferenças &#8211; as individuais relativas à inserção de gênero, classe, etnia, raça e às coletivas a partir dos limites estruturais materializados nos padrões de poder, de trabalho, de renda, de controle da terra, do espaço, da justiça e da política. Acreditamos que distintas culturas, tempos e localizações geográficas, bem como as histórias individuais dessas crianças, tecem teias e constroem diferentes mundos das infâncias. Inicia-se o debate a partir de reflexões sobre a infância a partir da diversidade. Trazemos também ponderações de como, culturalmente, ainda tem se pensado uma criança e uma infância marcada por características eurocêntricas, bem como tem se desenvolvido uma invisibilização em relação às crianças negras e indígenas. Outro ponto abordado no ensaio é a crítica da história institucionalizada e hegemônica da infância, que tem reproduzido uma perspectiva que não contempla a diversidade e diferenças das vivências das crianças em suas infâncias. Neste sentido, o presente ensaio visa ampliar o campo dos estudos acerca da infância do sul global, bem como dos estudos decoloniais, que têm estruturado a produção do conhecimento a partir de interlocuções locais e saberes descentrados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Studies referring to childhood have been historically marked by different conceptions and representations about the concept of child. Over time, these conceptions have been modified based on the economic and social demands of the Eurocentric society. In this way, inspired by Larrosa (2004), we would like to share in this text, in an essayistic way, our reflections on childhood studies from the perspective of the global south. We understand that childhood is no longer a universal experience, it is built by expressing differences &#8211; individual ones related to the insertion of gender, class, ethnicity, race and collective ones from the structural limits materialized in the patterns of power, work, income, control of land, space, justice and politics. We believe that different cultures, times and geographic locations, as well as the individual stories of these children, weave webs and build different childhood worlds. The debate begins with reflections on childhood based on diversity. We also bring reflections on how, culturally, a child and a childhood marked by Eurocentric characteristics have been thought of, as well as an invisibilization in relation to black and indigenous children. Another point addressed in the essay is the critique of the institutionalized and hegemonic history of childhood, which has reproduced a perspective that does not contemplate the diversity and differences of children's experiences in their childhood. In this sense, this essay aims to expand the field of studies about childhood in the global south, as well as decolonial studies, which have structured the production of knowledge from local interlocutions and decentralized knowledge.]]></p></abstract>
