Uma delas, que vem ganhando destaque nos últimos anos na área de Ciências Exatas, é a Sala de Aula Invertida (SAI). Esta pesquisa apresenta e analisa os principais benefícios e dificuldades da SAI, especificamente no Ensino de Ciências e Matemática, descritos na produção acadêmica nacional. A busca pelos materiais restringiu-se ao período de 2015 a 2021. As bases de dados escolhidas foram o Portal da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES); Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES e o banco de dados do Google Acadêmico. Com base nos resultados, conclui-se que a SAI é uma metodologia inovadora e que pode potencializar a aprendizagem ativa e, no geral, os aspectos positivos superam os negativos. Entretanto, diante de benefícios e dificuldades apontadas, ainda existe uma lacuna sobre o verdadeiro potencial didático/metodológico da SAI, abrindo espaço para pesquisas futuras sobre o tema.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Active Methodologies provide a student-centered approach to learning. One of them, which has been gaining prominence in recent years in the area of Exact Sciences, is the Inverted Classroom. This article seeks to analyze and discuss the main benefits and difficulties of the Flipped Classroom, specifically in Science and Mathematics Teaching, described in the national academic production. The search for materials was restricted to the period from 2015 to 2021. The chosen databases were the CAPES Portal, CAPES Theses and Dissertations Catalog and Google Scholar. Based on the results, it is concluded that the Inverted Classroom is an innovative methodology that can enhance active learning, in general, the positive aspects outweigh the negatives. However, given the benefits and difficulties pointed out, there is still a gap about the true didactic/methodological potential of the Inverted Classroom, opening space for future research on the subject.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Las metodologías activas proporcionan un enfoque de aprendizaje centrado en el estudiante. Uno de ellos, que ha ido ganando protagonismo en los últimos años en el área de las Ciencias Exactas, es el Aula Invertida. Este artículo busca analizar y discutir los principales beneficios y dificultades del Aula Invertida, específicamente en la Enseñanza de Ciencias y Matemáticas, descritos en la producción académica nacional. La búsqueda de materiales se restringió al período de 2015 a 2021. Las bases de datos elegidas fueron el Portal de la CAPES, el Catálogo de Tesis y Disertaciones de la CAPES y Google Scholar. En base a los resultados se concluye que el Aula Invertida es una metodología innovadora que puede potenciar el aprendizaje activo, en general los aspectos positivos superan a los negativos. Sin embargo, dados los beneficios y dificultades señalados, aún existe un vacío sobre el verdadero potencial didáctico/metodológico del Aula Invertida, abriendo espacio para futuras investigaciones sobre el tema.]]></p></abstract>
