A pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa, contou com a participação de 20 professores que lecionam em escolas de Ensino Médio da rede pública de ensino do estado do Ceará, situadas nos municípios de Maracanaú, Pacatuba, Caucaia e Guaiuba. Utilizou-se, para isso, um formulário on-line no Google Forms contendo a pergunta: "Na sua concepção, qual o objetivo da atividade experimental no Ensino de Química?". A análise dos dados foi realizada por meio da Análise de Conteúdo, com foco nas respostas dos participantes. Os resultados revelaram quatro categorias que refletem a visão dos professores sobre os objetivos das atividades experimentais: relacionar teoria e prática; instigar o interesse dos estudantes; relacionar com o cotidiano e aquisição e fixação do conteúdo. Esses achados forneceram informações úteis para aprimorar as práticas educacionais em Química, visando proporcionar uma aprendizagem mais significativa aos estudantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This study focused on investigating the perception of Chemistry teachers about the use of experimental activities, with an emphasis on understanding the purpose of these activities in the context of Chemistry Teaching. The research, of a qualitative nature, involved the participation of 20 teachers who teach in high schools in the Public Education Network of the State of Ceará, located in the municipalities of Maracanaú, Pacatuba, Caucaia and Guaiuba. For this purpose, an online form on Google Forms was used containing the question: "In your opinion, what is the objective of the experimental activity in Chemistry Teaching?". Data analysis was carried out using Content Analysis, focusing on the participants' responses. The results revealed four categories that reflect the teachers' view of the objectives of the experimental activities: Relating Theory and Practice, Instigating student interest, Relating to everyday life and Acquisition and Fixation of Content. These findings provided useful information to improve educational practices in Chemistry, aiming to provide more meaningful learning for students.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este estudio se centró en investigar la percepción de los profesores de Química sobre el uso de actividades experimentales, con énfasis en comprender el propósito de estas actividades en el contexto de la Enseñanza de la Química. La investigación, de carácter cualitativo, contó con la participación de 20 profesores que enseñan en escuelas secundarias de la Red de Educación Pública del Estado de Ceará, ubicadas en los municipios de Maracanaú, Pacatuba, Caucaia y Guaiuba. Para ello se utilizó un formulario en línea en Google Forms que contiene la pregunta: &#8220;En su opinión, ¿cuál es el objetivo de la actividad experimental en Enseñanza de la Química?&#8221;. El análisis de los datos se realizó mediante Análisis de Contenido, centrándose en las respuestas de los participantes. Los resultados revelaron cuatro categorías que reflejan la visión de los profesores sobre los objetivos de las actividades experimentales: Relacionar Teoría y Práctica, Instigar el interés de los estudiantes, Relacionarse con la vida cotidiana y Adquisición y Fijación de Contenidos. Estos hallazgos proporcionaron información útil para mejorar las prácticas educativas en Química, con el objetivo de proporcionar aprendizajes más significativos para los estudiantes.]]></p></abstract>
