Assim, aborda-se a produ&#231;&#227;o das estat&#237;sticas oficiais para compreender a organiza&#231;&#227;o dos servi&#231;os de Recenseamento, Matr&#237;cula e Frequ&#234;ncia, na Divis&#227;o de Obrigatoriedade Escolar e Estat&#237;stica, e de Medida e Efici&#234;ncia Escolares, na Divis&#227;o de Pesquisas Educacionais e, tamb&#233;m, as estrat&#233;gias para conter a evas&#227;o e a repet&#234;ncia. A an&#225;lise da documenta&#231;&#227;o permite concluir que o Departamento de Educa&#231;&#227;o do Distrito Federal se projeta como aparelho estrat&#233;gico de controle da popula&#231;&#227;o escolar.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article discusses the paths of school services of the Department of Education of the Federal District from 1931 to 1935 based on the statistical results of school performance. This raises the issue of the production of official statistics to understand the organization of the Census, Registration and frequency services, in the School Division and Statistics and Compulsory School, and Measurement and School Efficiency, in the Educational Research Division, and also the strategies for curb dropout and repetition. The analysis of the documentation shows that the Department of Education of the Federal District projects itself as a strategic instrument of control of the school population.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Este art&#237;culo analiza los itinerarios de los servicios escolares del Departamento de Educaci&#243;n del Distrito Federal entre 1931 y 1935 sobre la base de los resultados estad&#237;sticos del rendimiento escolar. As&#237; pues, se trata de la producci&#243;n de estad&#237;sticas oficiales para entender la organizaci&#243;n de los servicios del censo, el registro de inscripciones y la frecuencia en las escuelas, en la Divisi&#243;n de Ense&#241;anza Obligatoria y Estad&#237;sticas, y de Medici&#243;n y Eficiencia Escolar, en la Divisi&#243;n de Investigaci&#243;n Educativa, y tambi&#233;n las estrategias para contener el abandono y la repetici&#243;n a la escuela. El an&#225;lisis de la documentaci&#243;n nos permite concluir que el Departamento de Educaci&#243;n del Distrito Federal se proyecta como herramienta estrat&#233;gica de control de la poblaci&#243;n escolar.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Cet article analyse les orientations des services scolaires du Secteur de l'&#201;ducation du District F&#233;d&#233;ral entre 1931 et 1935 sur la base des r&#233;sultats statistiques des performances scolaires. Ainsi, nous nous occupons de la production des statistiques officielles afin de comprendre l'organisation des services du recensement, des inscriptions et de l'assiduit&#233;, dans la Division de Obligatoriet&#233; Scolaire et Statistiques, et de Mesure et Efficacit&#233; Scolaires, dans la Division de Recherche en &#201;ducation, et aussi les strat&#233;gies pour contenir l'abandon et le redoublement. L'analyse de la documentation nous permet de conclure que le Secteur de l'&#201;ducation du District F&#233;d&#233;ral s'est projet&#233; comme outil strat&#233;gique de contr&#244;le de la population scolaire.]]></p></abstract>
