<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2237-94602020000100246&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2237-94602020000100246&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2237-94602020000100246&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO O objetivo deste artigo é compreender as concepções de professores e estudantes de uma escola da Rede Estadual de Ensino de Pernambuco sobre o papel da história e cultura afro-brasileira e africana e a implementação da Lei nº 10.639/03 como instrumento de combate ao preconceito étnico-racial na escola. Para tanto, utilizamos como referencial teórico os estudos de Gomes (2005, 2008 e 2012), Munanga (2005), Gonçalves e Silva (2004), Orlandi (1999), Yin (1989), e outros autores que com seus escritos corroboraram com o desdobramento da pesquisa. No que concerne ao processo investigativo seguiu-se com entrevista aos professores do ensino médio, aplicação de questionário aos estudantes na faixa etária entre 16 e 19 anos e a utilização da metodologia qualiquantitativa (6 professores e 100 estudantes). A compreensão sobre a temática se justifica pela necessidade de desconstruir socialmente o preconceito e a discriminação racial que a população negra sofre. A escola tem um papel fundamental no processo de construção e reconstrução dos valores sociais, por isso os resultados da pesquisa sobre a questão racial no contexto escolar têm demonstrado, que o sistema de ensino brasileiro se baseia numa visão eurocêntrica, monocultora, discriminatória de caráter racista e excludente. Tudo isso corrobora com os mecanismos de exclusão tendo a escola dificuldade de cumprir o seu verdadeiro papel, que é a formação humana, educar, socializar e formar cidadãos compromissados com a transformação social.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This paper aims at understanding the conceptions of teachers and students from a public school in the State of Pernambuco about the role of Afro-Brazilian and African history and culture, as well as on the implementation of Law 10.639 / 03 as an instrument to combat ethnic- racial at school. For this purpose, we use as theoretical reference the studies of Gomes (2005, 2008 e 2012), Munanga (2005), Gonçalves e Silva (2004 e 2015), Orlandi (1999), Yin (1989), and other authors who with their writings corroborated with the research. Regarding the investigative process, a questionnaire was applied to students in the age group between 16 and 19 years old. The qualitative methodology was used (6 teachers and 100 students). The understanding about this issue is justified by the need of socially deconstruct prejudice and racial discrimination suffered by the black population. The school plays a fundamental role in the process of constructing and reconstructing social values, that is why the results of research on the racial issue in the school context have shown that the Brazilian education system is based on a Eurocentric, monocultural, racist and excluding vision. All of this corroborates the mechanisms of exclusion, in which the school has difficulty fulfilling its true role, which is human education, educating, socializing, and training citizens committed to social transformation.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El objetivo de este artículo es comprender las concepciones de profesores y estudiantes de una escuela de la red estatal de enseñanza de Pernambuco sobre el papel de la historia y la cultura afro-brasileña y africana y la implementación de la Ley 10.639 / 03 como instrumento de combate al prejuicio étnico-racial en la escuela. Para ello, utilizamos como referencial teórico los estudios de Gomes (2005, 2008 e 2012), Munanga (2005), Gonçalves e Silva (2004 e 2015), Orlandi (1999), Yin (1989), y otros autores que con sus escritos corroboraron con el desdoblamiento de la investigación. En lo que concierne, al proceso investigativo se siguió con entrevista a los profesores de la enseñanza media, aplicación de cuestionario a los estudiantes en la franja de edad entre 16 y 19 años y se utilizó la metodología cuali-cuantitativa (6 profesores y 100 estudiantes). La comprensión sobre la temática se justifica por la necesidad de deconstruir socialmente el prejuicio y la discriminación racial que sufre la población negra. La escuela tiene un papel fundamental en el proceso de construcción y reconstrucción de los valores sociales, por lo que los resultados de la investigación sobre la cuestión racial en el contexto escolar, dan cuenta que el sistema de enseñanza brasileño se basa en una visión eurocéntrica, monocultiva, discriminatoria de carácter racista y discriminatorio exclusivo. Todo esto corrobora los mecanismos de exclusión existentes, produciendo en la escuela dificultad para cumplir su verdadero papel, que es la formación humana, educativa, socializadora y la formación para la ciudadanía para la transformación social.]]></p></abstract>
