O estudo parte da seguinte problematização: Até que ponto as ações materiais que perfazem a Política Estudantil da Ufal, dialoga com a dimensão simbólica da permanência? Metodologicamente organizou-se em torno da abordagem qualitativa, com o foco na pesquisa bibliográfica e recorreu também, aos pressupostos da técnica análise documental. Os documentos oficiais analisados demostraram a intersetorialidade por meio da inter-relação de diferentes programas que visam subsidiar a trajetória do/a estudante na universidade buscando garantir apoio financeiro e pedagógico, de modo a estabelecer diálogo entre as questões materiais e simbólicas, que denotam que a universidade apresenta preocupação com uma efetiva permanência dos/as estudantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article aims to understand the senses and the importance of permanence in the student policy of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), with regard to material and symbolic issues. The study starts from the following problematization: To what extent do the material actions that make up the Student Policy of UFAL dialogue with the symbolic dimension of permanence? Methodologically, it was organized around the qualitative approach, with a focus on bibliographic research and also resorted to the assumptions of the documentary analysis technique. The official documents analyzed demonstrated intersectorality through the interrelation of different programs that aim to subsidize the student's trajectory at the university, seeking to guarantee financial and pedagogical support, in order to establish a dialogue between material and symbolic issues, which denote that the university is concerned with the effective permanence of students.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este artículo tiene como objetivo comprender los significados y la importancia de la permanencia en la política estudiantil de la Universidad Federal de Alagoas (Ufal), en lo que respecta a cuestiones materiales y simbólicas. El estudio parte de la siguiente problematización: ¿En qué medida las acciones materiales que integran la Política Estudiantil de Ufal dialogan con la dimensión simbólica de la permanencia? Metodológicamente se organizó en torno al enfoque cualitativo, con enfoque en la investigación bibliográfica y también utilizó los supuestos de la técnica de análisis documental. Los documentos oficiales analizados demostraron intersectorialidad a través de la interrelación de diferentes programas que buscan subsidiar la trayectoria estudiantil en la universidad, buscando garantizar el apoyo financiero y pedagógico, con el fin de establecer un diálogo entre cuestiones materiales y simbólicas, que denotan que la universidad se preocupa con la permanencia efectiva de los estudiantes.]]></p></abstract>
