Nossa intenção é problematizar o modo como os diferentes sujeitos paraibanos dessa época se relacionavam com a educação sanitária, principalmente os alunos da escola primária. Fundamentamos nossas reflexões a partir de discursos e escritos políticos, textos jornalísticos e correspondências trocadas pelos médicos paraibanos da época. A análise dessas experiências socioculturais foi estruturada a partir de um aporte teórico-metodológico baseado nas contribuições da Nova História Cultural, a exemplo de Roger Chartier e Michel de Certeau.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to analyze the dialogues and approaches between the areas of medical and educational knowledge, in the state of Paraíba, from 1919 to 1945. Our intention was to problematize how different individuals of that time dealt with health education, especially the primary school students. We based our reflections from political speeches and writings, newspaper articles, journals and letters exchanged by doctors from Paraíba in that period. The analysis of these sociocultural experiences was structured from a theoretical and methodological collaboration based on the New Cultural History contributions, following Roger Chartier and Michel Certeau.]]></p></abstract>

Nuestra pretensión es problematizar el modo como los diferentes sujetos de la ciudad de Paraíba de esta época se relacionaban con la educación sanitaria, principalmente los alumnos de la escuela primaria. Fundamentamos nuestras reflexiones a partir de discursos y escritos políticos, textos periodísticos y correspondencias cambiadas por los médicos paraibanos de la época.
