A forma&#231;&#227;o universit&#225;ria e o acesso &#224; carreira ocorreram durante o primeiro governo Vargas (1930-1945), nos marcos de uma pol&#237;tica educacional excludente que limitava o acesso ao ensino superior exclusivamente aos egressos da escola secund&#225;ria proped&#234;utica. Alian&#231;as familiares e pol&#237;ticas, ader&#234;ncias a projetos educacionais, assim como brechas na legisla&#231;&#227;o educacional, possibilitaram o acesso dessas normalistas aos cursos universit&#225;rios, bem como sua ascens&#227;o ao cargo de catedr&#225;ticas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  The professional trajectory by three student-teachers who completed their teacher qualification programat the Instituto de Educa&#231;&#227;o do Rio de Janeiro in the 1930s is analyzed. After graduating from the Universidade do Distrito Federal and the FaculdadeNacional de Filosofia, they returned 'home' and joined the Instituto as fully-qualified teachers. Their undergraduate studies and teaching career occurred under Vargas' first administration period (1930-1945), or rather, heavily shaped by a excluding system which restricted access to higher education to those who came from the propaedeutic secondary school. Family and political alliances, the adherence to educational projects and breaches in the educational legislation facilitated access to higher education and later to teaching positions as fully-qualified teachers. ]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen:  Este art&#237;culo analiza la trayectoria de tres normalistas formadas por el Instituto de Educaci&#243;n de Rio de Janeiro en la d&#233;cada de 1930 que, despu&#233;s de obtener la titulaci&#243;n en la Universidad del Distrito Federal y en la Facultad Nacional de Filosof&#237;a, regresaron al Instituto, ahora en la condici&#243;n de docentes, convirti&#233;ndose en catedr&#225;ticas de asignaturas pedag&#243;gicas. La formaci&#243;n universitaria y el acceso a la carrera ocurrieron durante el primer gobierno Vargas (1930-1945), en los hitos de una pol&#237;tica educacional excluyente que limitaba el acceso a la ense&#241;anza superior exclusivamente a los egresos de la escuela secundaria proped&#233;utica. Alianzas familiares y pol&#237;ticas, adhesiones a proyectos educativos, as&#237; como las lagunas en la legislaci&#243;n educativa, posibilitaron el acceso de las normalistas a los cursos universitarios, as&#237; como su ascensi&#243;n al cargo de catedr&#225;ticas.]]></p></abstract>
