Os temas do trabalho infantil e da obrigatoriedade escolar foram discutidos em meio a muitas tens&#245;es, expressando altera&#231;&#245;es nas rela&#231;&#245;es sociais traduzidas pela amplia&#231;&#227;o dos direitos humanos e civis e pela presen&#231;a de conflitos afetivos e morais. A discuss&#227;o te&#243;rica desenvolveu-se com base nas proposi&#231;&#245;es de Norbert Elias e Viviane Zelizer, dentre outros. Como documentos, foram analisados legisla&#231;&#245;es, tratados internacionais e jornais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen:  El objetivo de este art&#237;culo es analizar, en el contexto de la ampliaci&#243;n de la obligatoriedad escolar, el debate internacional sobre la reglamentaci&#243;n del trabajo infantil y el debate nacional sobre la elaboraci&#243;n de la legislaci&#243;n laboral entre 1890 (Conferencia Internacional del Trabajo en Berl&#237;n) y 1944 (Declaraci&#243;n de Filadelfia). Los temas del trabajo infantil y de la obligatoriedad escolar fueron discutidos en medio de muchas tensiones, expresando alteraciones en las relaciones sociales traducidas por la expansi&#243;n de los derechos humanos y civiles y por la presencia de conflictos afectivos y morales. La discusi&#243;n te&#243;rica se llev&#243; a cabo con base en las proposiciones de Norbert Elias y Viviane Zelizer, entre otros. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  The international debate on the regulation of child labor and the Brazilian debate on the elaboration of labor legislationbetween 1890 (International Labor Conference in Berlin) and 1944 (Philadelphia Declaration) within the context of the expansion of compulsory education, are analyzed. Child labor and compulsory education were intensely discussed due to changes in social relations brought about by the expansion of human and civil rights and due to affective and moral conflicts. Theoretical discussionswere foregrounded on the proposals of Norbert Elias, Viviane Zelizer and others. Laws, international treaties and newspaper articles were investigated for this purpose. ]]></p></abstract>
