O recorte temporal adotado &#233; o per&#237;odo entre 1931 e 1945, marcado pelas Reformas Campos e Capanema, que consolidaram o processo de institucionaliza&#231;&#227;o do ensino secund&#225;rio brasileiro. O principal referencial te&#243;rico adotado foi Dubet (2002), que construiu a no&#231;&#227;o de &#8216;programa institucional&#8217;. A metodologia utilizada foi a an&#225;lise da legisla&#231;&#227;o sobre o sistema educacional do per&#237;odo e das fontes encontradas no N&#250;cleo de Documenta&#231;&#227;o e Mem&#243;ria do Col&#233;gio Pedro II e no Centro de Pesquisa e Documenta&#231;&#227;o de Hist&#243;ria Contempor&#226;nea do Brasil da Funda&#231;&#227;o Get&#250;lio Vargas. ]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The aim of this article is to show some results of a doctoral research in Education, in which we defend that the &#8216;institutional program&#8217; of the Col&#233;gio Pedro II went through a crisis that culminated in the loss of its patronage. The time cut adopted is the period between 1931 and 1945, marked by the Campos and Capanema Reforms, which consolidated the process of institutionalization of Brazilian secondary education. The main theoretical reference was Dubet (2002), who built the notion of &#8216;institutional program&#8217;. The methodology used was the analysis of the legislation on the educational system and the sources found in the Documentation and Memory Nucleus of the Col&#233;gio Pedro II and in the Center for Research and Documentation of Contemporary History of Brazil of the Funda&#231;&#227;o Get&#250;lio Vargas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: El trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar y presentar una parte de los resultados provenientes de una investigaci&#243;n de doctorado en Educaci&#243;n, cuya defesa era que la crisis en el &#8216;programa institucional&#8217; del Col&#233;gio Pedro II provoc&#243; la pierda del car&#225;cter modelar de la instituci&#243;n. Se investig&#243; en el estudio el periodo entre 1931 y 1945, marcado por las Reformas Campos y Capanema, responsables por consolidar el proceso de institucionalizaci&#243;n de la ense&#241;anza secundaria brasile&#241;a. El principal referencial te&#243;rico elegido fue Dubet (2002), y el concepto desarrollado por el autor de &#8216;programa institucional&#8217;. La metodolog&#237;a utilizada fue el an&#225;lisis de la legislaci&#243;n relacionada al sistema educativo del periodo y de las fuentes encontradas en el N&#250;cleo de Documentaci&#243;n y Memoria del Col&#233;gio Pedro II y en el Centro de Pesquisa y Documentaci&#243;n de Historia Contempor&#225;nea de la Funda&#231;&#227;o Get&#250;lio Vargas. ]]></p></abstract>
