A metodologia utilizada foi a operação historiográfica enquanto uma produção do pesquisador que associa um lugar (social) com diferentes procedimentos de análises (práticas) e com a construção de uma escrita. A análise possibilitou problematizar as mudanças de perspectivas que alteram as orientações e prescrições para o ensino dos tipos de letras. A partir dos dados, foi possível identificar cadernos dos alunos com o uso exclusivo de um tipo de letra e cadernos com o uso concomitante das letras, e essas variações estavam vinculadas aos debates da época.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This study brings a mapping of letters used in the initial schooling classes of different schools in Rio Grande do Sul, in the period of 1937-2015. This periodization is based on the documentation (student notebooks) available in the collection of a Brazilian memory center. Historiographical operation was used as methodology, taken as a researcher production that associates a (social) place with different analysis procedures (practices), added with the construction of a piece of writing. The analysis made it possible to problematize the changes in perspectives that change the orientations and prescriptions for the teaching of typefaces. From the data, it was possible to identify students' notebooks with the exclusive use of a type of font and notebooks with the concomitant use of letters, these variations were linked to the debates of the time.]]></p></abstract>

La metodología utilizada fue la operación historiográfica como producción investigadora que asocia un lugar (social) con diferentes procedimientos de análisis (prácticas) y la construcción de un escrito. El análisis permitió problematizar los cambios de perspectivas que cambian las orientaciones y prescripciones para la enseñanza de las tipografías.
