A partir de uma metodologia exploratório-descritiva, foram identificados níveis de emprego dos dois conceitos, desdobrados em expressões conexas. A investigação desenvolveu-se em uma das perspectivas histórico-filológicas que, de certo modo, têm incidido sobre as mais recentes investigações relativas à História Intelectual: a História Conceitual, de origem alemã, na esteira do historiador Reinhart Koselleck (2006). A pesquisa identificou diferentes usos e apropriações das expressões e reafirmou a relevância de novos estudos histórico-conceituais similares.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The article discusses the use, by Brazilian educational historiography, of the concepts Escola Nova Católica and Escolanovismo Católico, referenced by a study of the academic productions of the last three decades. Based on an exploratory-descriptive methodology, levels of use of the two concepts were identified, unfolded in related expressions. The investigation developed in one of the historical-phylological perspectives that, in a way, have focused on the most recent investigations related to Intellectual History: the Conceptual History of German origin in the wake of historian Reinhart Koselleck (2006). The research identified different uses and appropriations of expressions and reaffirmed the relevance of new similar historical-conceptual studies.]]></p></abstract>
