A pesquisa, de abordagem qualitativa, buscou articular esta produ&#231;&#227;o e a contextualiza&#231;&#227;o de alguns aspectos do contato da sociedade capitalista em expans&#227;o com os povos ind&#237;genas no Brasil. As fontes envolvem seis edi&#231;&#245;es do Congresso Brasileiro de Ci&#234;ncias do Esporte (Conbrace), realizado bienalmente em diferentes cidades brasileiras no per&#237;odo de 2001 a 2011. Em conformidade com documentos internacionais da Organiza&#231;&#227;o das Na&#231;&#245;es Unidas para a Educa&#231;&#227;o, a Ci&#234;ncia e a Cultura (Unesco) e Banco Mundial disseminados nos anos de 1990, as publica&#231;&#245;es destacam a import&#226;ncia de promover na escola um conhecimento cotidiano, como pressuposto e possibilidade de participa&#231;&#227;o na cidadania. Considerando os princ&#237;pios dessa pol&#237;tica, reafirmamos que desde suas origens o conceito de cidadania limita-se a direitos pol&#237;ticos, permanecendo a desigualdade hist&#243;rica gerada pela sociedade capitalista que, apesar da veicula&#231;&#227;o de um amplo discurso sobre inclus&#227;o, continua permitindo aos &#8220;exclu&#237;dos&#8221; apenas a venda de sua for&#231;a de trabalho, &#250;nico meio que lhes resta nesta sociedade para satisfazer suas necessidades.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  This paper aims at analyzing the scientific production in the field of Physical Education and their conceptions on school physical education to Indians. This qualitative research attempted to articulate such production and the contextualization of some aspects of the contact between the booming capitalist society and the Indian peoples in Brazil. The sources involve six editions of the Brazilian Congress of Sport Science (Conbrace), held every two years in different Brazilian cities from 2001 to 2011. In accordance with international documents of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) and the World Bank disseminated in the 1990s, publications highlight the importance of promoting an everyday knowledge in school as a prerequisite and possibility of achieving citizenship. Considering the principles of this policy, we reaffirm that since its inception the concept of citizenship is limited to political rights, while the historical inequality generated by capitalist society, despite serving a broad discourse on inclusion, still allows &#8220;outsiders&#8221; only to sell their labor power, the only way left for them in this society to meet their needs.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Este texto tiene como objetivo analizar la producci&#243;n cient&#237;fica en el campo de la Educaci&#243;n F&#237;sica y las concepciones de educaci&#243;n f&#237;sica ind&#237;genas que presentan. La investigaci&#243;n adopt&#243; un enfoque cualitativo y intent&#243; articular esta producci&#243;n y la contextualizaci&#243;n de algunos aspectos del contacto de la sociedad capitalista en expansi&#243;n con los pueblos ind&#237;genas de Brasil. Las fuentes incluyen seis ediciones del Congreso Brasile&#241;o de Ciencias del Deporte (Conbrace), llevado a cabo cada dos a&#241;os en diferentes ciudades de Brasil en el per&#237;odo 2001-2011. De acuerdo con los documentos internacionales de las Naciones Unidas para la Educaci&#243;n, la Ciencia y la Cultura (Unesco) y el Banco Mundial difundidos en la d&#233;cada de 1990, las publicaciones destacan la importancia de la promoci&#243;n en la escuela un conocimiento cotidiano y su capacidad como requisito previo para la participaci&#243;n en ciudadan&#237;a. Teniendo en cuenta los principios de esta pol&#237;tica, reafirmamos que desde su creaci&#243;n el concepto de ciudadan&#237;a se limita a los derechos pol&#237;ticos, mientras que la desigualdad hist&#243;rica generada por la sociedad capitalista que, a pesar de servir a un discurso amplio sobre la inclusi&#243;n, todav&#237;a permite que los &#8220;forasteros&#8221; s&#243;lo la venta de su fuerza de trabajo, el &#250;nico camino que queda para ellos en esta sociedad para satisfacer sus necesidades.]]></p></abstract>
