Parte-se da no&#231;&#227;o de forma&#231;&#227;o como objetivo primordial da educa&#231;&#227;o, formal ou informal, e se questionam os rumos assumidos por ela durante o desenvolvimento da cultura ocidental no s&#233;culo XX, tomando-se o decl&#237;nio da autoridade como um elemento importante para se analisar tais rumos. Em virtude desses rumos, a forma&#231;&#227;o meramente adaptativa e integradora &#8211; pseudoforma&#231;&#227;o &#8211; colocou-se em favor da produ&#231;&#227;o e reprodu&#231;&#227;o de consci&#234;ncias regredidas, coisificadas e indiferenciadas. A identidade entre o particular e o universal, que mina a diferencia&#231;&#227;o e, por consequ&#234;ncia, o princ&#237;pio da individua&#231;&#227;o, permanece como fundamento do modelo atual de cultura e comp&#245;e a din&#226;mica do fascismo, da forma&#231;&#227;o de preconceitos e da produ&#231;&#227;o e reprodu&#231;&#227;o da viol&#234;ncia. Tendo em vista esse processo &#8220;formativo&#8221;, tamb&#233;m &#233; discutido, neste texto, o papel desempenhado pelas institui&#231;&#245;es sociais como a fam&#237;lia e a escola, as quais se configuram como mediadores da cultura e, portanto, agentes de &#8220;forma&#231;&#227;o&#8221; na sociedade atual. A partir dessas discuss&#245;es, s&#227;o propostos questionamentos e reflex&#245;es sobre alguns pontos da educa&#231;&#227;o atual, a fim de se pensar acerca de suas possibilidades e limites na sociedade atual, no que concerne &#224; forma&#231;&#227;o de consci&#234;ncias cr&#237;ticas que se oponham ao preconceito e viol&#234;ncias.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article aims to discuss the relationship between education and the production of violence and prejudice. It starts with the notion of formation as a primary goal of education, formal or informal, and the direction taken by it are questioned during the development of Western culture in the 20th century, taking the decline of authority as an important element to analyze such directions. Because of these events, the merely adaptive and integrative formation &#8211; false formation &#8211; placed in favor of the production and reproduction of regressed, objectified and undifferentiated consciences. The integration between the particular and the universal, which ends with the differentiation and therefore the principle of individuation, remains the foundation of the current model of culture and composes the dynamics of fascism, of the formation of prejudices and of the production and reproduction of violence. Based on this dynamic of this &#8220;formation&#8221; process, is also discussed in this text, the role of social institutions such as family and school, which are configured as cultural mediators and therefore &#8220;forming&#8221; agents in today&#8217;s society. From these discussions are proposed questions and reflections on some points of the current education to think about its possibilities and limits in today&#8217;s society, towards the formation of critical consciences to oppose prejudice and violence.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este art&#237;culo tiene como meta discutir la relaci&#243;n entre la educaci&#243;n y la producci&#243;n de la violencia y los prejuicios. Se inicia con la idea de la formaci&#243;n como un objetivo principal de la educaci&#243;n, formal o informal, y preguntarse sobre la direcci&#243;n tomada por ella durante el desarrollo de la cultura occidental en el siglo XX, tomando el declive de la autoridad como un elemento importante para analizar tales direcciones. Debido a estos acontecimientos, la formaci&#243;n meramente adaptativa e integradora &#8211; pseudo-formaci&#243;n &#8211; se coloc&#243; en favor de la producci&#243;n y reproducci&#243;n de la conciencia retrocedido, objetivado e indiferenciada. La identidade entre lo particular y lo universal, lo que socava la diferenciaci&#243;n y, por tanto, el principio de individuaci&#243;n, sigue siendo la base del actual modelo de la cultura y compone la din&#225;mica del fascismo, de la formaci&#243;n de los prejuicios y de la producci&#243;n y reproducci&#243;n de la violencia. Ante este proceso de &#8220;formaci&#243;n&#8221;, tambi&#233;n se discute en este texto, el papel de las instituciones sociales como la familia y la escuela, que se configuran como mediadores culturales y, por tanto, los agentes de &#8220;formaci&#243;n&#8221; en la sociedad actual. A partir de estas discusiones se proponen preguntas y reflexiones sobre algunos puntos de la educaci&#243;n actual a fin de pensar en sus posibilidades y l&#237;mites en la sociedad actual, como posibilidad de formaci&#243;n de las conciencias cr&#237;ticos para oponerse a los prejuicios y la violencia.]]></p></abstract>
