A pesquisa configurou-se em uma abordagem qualitativa, constituindo-se em um estudo de caso, e os procedimentos metodol&#243;gicos utilizados foram entrevistas semiestruturadas e an&#225;lise documental. Participaram da pesquisa doze acad&#234;micos ingressantes, que foram selecionados por proced&#234;ncia. A compreens&#227;o da diversidade de representa&#231;&#227;o da clientela pode contribuir para repensar o projeto pedag&#243;gico do curso e subsidiar as a&#231;&#245;es dos professores envolvidos na forma&#231;&#227;o de futuros profissionais docentes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study aimed at analyzing the social representations of first-year students in Education and check their expectations about the course. The case-study research had a qualitative approach, and the methodological procedures used were semi-structured interviews and desk analysis. Twelve first-year students were selected to take part in the study. The understanding of the students&#8217; different representation can contribute to the rethinking of the course&#8217;s pedagogical project and support the actions of the faculty members involved in the training of future teachers.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El objetivo del estudio fue analizar las representaciones sociales de estudiantes de primer a&#241;o en la pedagog&#237;a acad&#233;mica y comprobar sus expectativas sobre el curso. Investigaci&#243;n creada en un enfoque cualitativo, que consiste en un estudio de caso y los procedimientos metodol&#243;gicos utilizados fueron entrevistas semi-estructuradas y an&#225;lisis documental. Los participantes fueron doce estudiantes que ingresan, que fueron seleccionados por su origen. La comprensi&#243;n de la representaci&#243;n de clientes de la diversidad puede contribuir a repensar el proyecto pedag&#243;gico del curso y apoyar las acciones de los profesores que participan en la formaci&#243;n de los futuros profesionales de la ense&#241;anza.]]></p></abstract>
